  1. Too bad, hope you work out your brake issues and you make the next ride. Sounds good. We'll be looking out for you, what are you riding? Ok, I'll be hanging out at the store.
  2. I'm thinking about 8:00 or 8:30. I've ridden up there before, but just along the fire road that starts at the store and up to some cell towers. I was up there last year in July and noticed that alot of "side" roads were blocked off. I know some of that is a wildlife preserve, i'm willing to go wherever there's open routes.

    Off Road Upper Body Armor

+2. I like the fact that the "under garment" is not full length, just covers arms and upper chest/shoulders.

    Leatt quality problems

I can't help with either one of your choices as I have the Acerbis Cosmo. Just wanted to add that the fishnet stocking along the arms of my Cosmo already has a tear on it and I've only used it for 2 rides. Looks like the Thor Impact has the similar material along the arms. I had a pair of Fox elbow guards with the same type material and they also tore...not after two rides but eventually they did. Might be the fact that the Cosmo is worn on the outside and hitting a branch while riding caused the tear or catching my fingernail as I was putting it on or maybe when I tossed it in my gearbag. Just my $ .02

    Yuha Wash Ride

Couple pics from the ride. I need to find a better way to carry my camera so I'm not taking off my camelbak every time i take a pic.
  18. Last week I had a chance to go for a quick morning ride after dropping off my son at school. I've been out to the Yuha Wash area before but was limited to the Open routes...but now that I'm plated it's opened up a whole new world for me. Enjoy. http://youtu.be/tgNqQf2j2kA

    Yuha Wash Ride

Yes it is. That's going to be my go to spot when I'm short on time and need a quck fix. The DD sounds tempting. I'm familliar with alot of the Anza Borrego area, the only thing holding me back is I need a bigger tank and saving days off from work for a family desert trip.
  20. Head on a swivel. Aside from the driver turning left in front of us most "accidents" could be avoided or at least the impact would be lessened if the rider was constantly scanning and aware of his surroundings. We do it on the dirt, why not on asphalt? bikelsut, I agree 100% proper use of both brakes is very important. I'm new to the DS scene but rode a street bike before. During my first slab ride around town on my new bike, i was quickly reminded on how many drivers out there are clueless of not just other vehicles but also of a guy testing out his dual sport. Stay safe my friends.
