  1. Let's meet somewhere in the city. Just give me some cross streets
  2. Sweet I'll let u know if anything changes. Where will u be riding from?
  3. I'm down later tues morn! You ride there or haul the bike? I'm in east oside. How's 10-11 sound
  4. I really need to make it down there!!!
  5. Very nice!!! Curious what you guys consider that ride? Novice, intermediate or advanced?
  6. Hey there fellow dual sporters. Curious If there's a way to know when to adjust there's or I just have to rip the bike apart every 1,000 miles to find out. Also any good videos on how to do so?
  7. Sneeker so your the man with the plan huh!!! I'm novice with balls of steel! I plan on going out here next week prob mon around noon. Anyone down?
  8. That's a great write up! But how do I know when? Miles, sounds, etc?
  9. A friend of mine told me about the place and yes prob isn't legal but nobody says any thing. The pics he showed the bronco was up to the mid door in a rut lol. Not sure if it's worthy but I'm seriously looking for somewhere within 15-20 miles from my house to ride. Anyone have any pics of the place? He had nothing but articulation pics if you know what I mean!!! Thinking mon around noon dependent on the surf
  10. Hello all I recently purchased a 1990 dr 350s dual sport. I have slowly been doing general matinence and just did the brakes. New pads front and rear as well as new fluid in both master cylinders. Totally bled brakes with clear fluid, my problem is rear brakes seem kinda soft, the lever goes further than it did before with less stopping power. Front lever pulls a little more than before but stops just fine. Am I missing something? If possible do I just need to adjust the levers? If so how do I do so. Thanks in advance from an oside noob
  11. Yeah good idea I'll give it another go. I don't lock the brakes just wasent sure if the rear should have the capabilities on the street. Darn banjo bolt it will get ya everytime lol
  12. I opened said bolt started to pump pedal and air came out everywhere lol. Thanks for the info and help hopefully this thread can help someone down the road
  13. Thanks! Did it and ton of air can out. I can't say my brakes are anymore responsive though. Maybe I'm just Trippin, I never really paid attention to how the rear brakes functioned before I changed the pads but swore I could get the back brake to lock and skid the rear tire. Maybe it was just in the dirt lol. How about any of you guys? Are u guys able to lock up the rear on the street?
  14. Copy gonna go attempt right now. Photos of the nut would help though there's all sorts down there lol
  15. Any pictures of the master elbow? I'll update today
  16. Ok here's an update! I just got home from work 4 days later? and re bled my brakes. Had the wife pump as I bleed. Front brakes done! Super tight and sensitive!! Back brakes went through 5 master cylinders of fluid and still not very sensitive they brake but really have to stomp to even get the back tire to skid. I believe I got all the air out so would this be a pedal adjustment, air still in the line or is the rear brake supposed to this soft? I know my front brake should be 75% of braking but dosent seem like rear is even giving me 25%. Sorry for the long progress update wait
  17. Copy that the only problem I've only ride a few bs spots around my house. I haven't done any real rides so I need to tag along before I start organizing some rides. I'll get out there ??
  18. Yeah next sun should work for me too as long as I don't get stuck at work on sat again
  19. Bikeslut where in sd do you live? You look kinda young to be riding??
  20. I was just noticed I'm being forced on duty Saturday which means I get off on sun morn around 8 am ish. Drive time home gear up etc then drive to meet equals a no go for me. Fml!!!! I will have to catch the next ride! I'm really excited I found this forum, local guys + local rides = more oppurtonites for me to roll with you guys. Sounds like a good time with good people that are supportive. Can't wait!!! Anyone going tues by chance?
  21. Sweet tntmo good looking out!!! I'm itching to get home to solve the problem. Thanks for all the info men!!!
  22. Lol no worries kato I'm gonna get to the shocks next and something as simple as brakes I can only imagine the front shock being a pain in the ass! Off to work will update sat or sun morn
  23. Yep I work tomorrow not home till sat or Sunday so will give this method a go first thing. I will report with results. Just curious can u adjust lever/pedal to stop with less pull/push of the lever/ pedal?
  24. Never knew that about the navy lol. Well I use a clear tube but pump, hold, open bleed and close then release handle. Kato it does make sense, should I just pump with it wide open than pump till pressure bleed till no pressure that repeat? I've never used just pump with it open on any vehicle cuz no pressure builds. Maybe I'm doing it wrong lol.
  25. Yes held both front and back levers after pumping. Opens screw and once the lever depressed I closed the screw then repeated till new fluid came out of screw then topped master cylinder off to specs and sealed it. Would this not be a lever adjustment? It is 25 years old but in great condition!!!
