Any woodworking hobbyists on here? Or know any?
I have a table that was my grandmother's. It's a coffee table that converts(ed) to a card table. It's made of maple. It's falling apart from being moved and stored many times. I don't think it can be restored at this point.
I'd like to find someone that can help maybe make something(s) else from so I don't lose it completely.
Any help/guidance here would be MUCH appreciated, THANKS!

Hellooooo? (tap, tap) Is this thing on??? Anyone hear me?

-
Wow. Nothing exciting or dramatic ever happens on any of my rides out there....except for an occasional person getting lost.
It's the "Noob factor", Dirt Dame!!
-
I guess I'll get this one started. I had a lovely ride up with Bikeslut and Weirider. Other than the fact that the rabbit done died.
But that's Ken's fault entirely.
Then there's having the truck keys on the front seat with the doors locked and the entry combo temporarily forgotten.(snicker) I know you're flipping me off right now, Bob.
PLUS
Nothing like a tire change right off the bat:
Especially when everyone helps:
More random pix:
The rest will have to fill in ride details; I stayed at the play area for some MUCH needed practice.
I made a new friend, I think he'll join the group. He already has a handle-meet OneBoot:
And here we have Bikeslut on my bike going up:
And going down(note the valiant stoppie attempts):
Finishing it all with a bike(and George) cleansing ride home in the rain:
Thanks again for the ride Bikeslut! You really DO rock!
Was great to see, meet, and share a laugh with everyone! Still can't believe y'all found that phone!!
Let's go again SOON!!

I gotta ride from Lakeside to Alpine first. Drizzle I'll do. Lightning's a deal-breaker.

I wanna go again. Any interest? A group price deal and carpooling would be ideal. I won't be bringing a bike. Check the calendar, let me know when works for you. Let's take over the track!!!
-
Thanks guys!! Trophy, you have great eyes-that pic is when I first came from the shop. They were overfilled by quite a bit. I'm ready to try another boob ride soon.

Bike is fixed.Got new tires.
Met ThumperBob and my buddy Mike at 7/11 Sunday morning. Rode old 80 to Major's and had breakfast. Then went to the cul-de-sac so I could practice a little dirt. I made it up into where the loose rocks(death cookies) covered the road, then I opted to turn around. I wasn't ready for the full return ride down through those. But I rode a good pace through the first dirt parts both ways and handled the sliding fine. And even though I turned around I never got uptight or anxious, which is pretty major progress.
From there back to Pine Valley Creek up through Noble Canyon to Sunrise.
Then past Lake Cuyamaca and back home old 80. New tires are a HUGE improvement!!
TOP OF THE WORLD, BABY!!!!

Great pics. I like the action shots!!

There was a moment of feeling cool riding home with parts in my pocket-like I was a Bikeslut Jr or something!!
LOL
I told y'all my bike thinks he's a Harley!!

The shaft is broken. Case will have to come open. Hubby loves mile bike because I do the work on it and he doesn't. Plus he's leaving in a few days for a road trip to canada in aforementioned 66 GMC.
Thanks for the heads up on the salvage! I'll get it done it'll just take a little time.
