  1. Loaded up the camper truck Friday night.

Met my buddy John in Temcula at Moe's Egg House(real good food) around 7, then headed to the track. 2 of the guys from my Facebook group that signed up with me helped me unload my bike. Then class time. post-15619-0-26653100-1444166629.jpg

This time there was another girl. She rides sportbike with me.

The first session out, after we're warned multiple times to take it easy....one guy lost the front and broke his thumb. The around the 3rd session a guy crashed and broke off his brake lever but didn't notice or something and took off wide open down the back straight...through the tires, the grass-all the way up to the fence. That ended HIS day. The irony of the fact he rode to school on the biggest BMW I've ever seen! Looked like a spaceship. Oh well.

    Then lunch, supermoto style:

My day went real well. This time I could absorb more of what Brian was teaching. I focused on getting my line consistent and this time I wasn't getting passed all over the place, which was real nice. post-15619-0-80507500-1444167375_thumb.jpost-15619-0-42273600-1444167377_thumb.j

I got that hairpin left I was hating conquered finally

    I even did dirt

Then,in the afternoon, I had a dude try to stuff me. You can see how that went:

That's him on my left-he's actually behind me

Here he's diving in-you have to look close to see him:

Apparently, he'd already been warned for something else, so that was the end of him.

All in all it was an awesome day.

I camped at the track and took advantage of Brian going to get gas to sneak the truck onto the track and take a pic:

Sunday I rode my TW and really worked on shifting and braking. I feel I gained alot and definitely wanna do more track days there. It's a load of fun for $45!! Even in 115 degree heat.

  2. I'm litterly right down the road from you and can program it in a few minutes, I live in Lakeside close to the 7-11 at Lake Jennings and Julian Ave.

My advice? Don't buy from Rugged Radios unless they're selling it for 30 dollars. You can get the same radio on Amazon for 30 dollar right now. You can get a radio with double the power for 60 dollars.

HAM guy here and owner of 3 UV-5R/BF-F8+ and 3 BF-888 radios along with a few hard mounted mobile units.

It's the wiring kit for the helmet that's usually so expensive and on sale right now. The radio part ends up being only about $5. I'll post up once I have it.

  3. cool... you can give me rides, now

It would be my honor to do so!!

Nice ride Miriam. I expect to see some Orange in the back of it soon!

Orange will look pretty back there!

I'll have the trailer set up for 3 bikes in another week or 2. About time for some Borrego/Ocotillo exploration me thinks!

  4. When it cools down...95 @ 9 o clock is stupid...but the bike ran ok. Clutch needed adjusting more than once. I don't feel any horsepower, but power delivery is definitely crisper. Thanks for tagging along...we'll get you on a trail eventually

    I was there!

I thought that was a secret!

    Was nice to meet Ozzy.

Ken was there too, but I can't remember his screen name-it's so complicated. :tired:

No ride for me this Sunday. I got a new toy-I'll be at the Bay!!

  5. If you're headed that way with your truck and have room for me and my little bike, I'd REALLY appreciate a lift. Happy to meet you in Alpine or wherever. Will pitch in for gas, buy you lunch...eeeny-teen you whaaaan!! :shiftyeyes_anim:

I desperately want to practice my basic skills: standing while riding, rear brake use, getting used to sliding, etc, etc. I don't wanna invade your ride or crush your groove, I just need a little help.

    OR

if you know of a safe, legal place for me to practice in the Lakeside/Alpine area PLEASE let me know!!

    Thanks in advance.

  6. School I think. Whichever is more fun...I don't have a bike. Well, I have a bike but I don't think its tires are suitable, right? (crf250l). So if school is only way I get the bike, than school.

I don't care really. I just want to ride motorcycles on a track.

Then send $199 through Paypal to MiriamRides2s@gmail.com as soon as you can, and talk Weirrider into doing it too!!

  7. I am locked for Saturday, along with 2 others from my Facebook group. Got one more from there supposed to pay this week, and a couple of others bringing their bike and doing track day only. If I can get 3 others so I get the lesser rate, I will do both days and camp Saturday night.

If not I may just go up and back Saturday. I'd really like to make a weekend of it if possible.
