  1. I'm glad to hear my suffering is not in vain. As soon as I'm fully mobile I will go shopping to see what sizes, etc work for me. I have a feeling youth/junior stuff may work better for me for some things-and maybe save me some money. I'm healing pretty quickly. Feeling much better today, which means the worst is over. The colors are starting to come in nicely now. I will post pix tomorrow. By then I should have a nice rainbow started.
  2. Damn it, I always miss the fun rides although 6 might have been too much for you Haha Gimme a couple weeks and some knee pads and we'll find out! ;-p Deal after all i wouldn't want your knees getting scratched up going on a ride ;-) Again, you mean….wouldn't want them scratched AGAIN. I think I need a chest protector too. If I ruin my knees, that's all I have left for redeeming qualities……..

  4. Thank you, that's why you're my favorite!! And I'm pretty sure there was a "SLIDE AHEAD" sign on the road-I was just doing what I was told!!
  5. Can one of you please do the map thingy so I can see where we went? Maybe mark my approximate crash n burn point?
  6. Out of control is going out with 5 dudes, returning with a funny walk, then spending the next day searching for knee pads so I can go ride with them again! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! THAT'S outta control!!!
  7. Now i read it to fast and thought you said "I'm proud of my boobs" Haha That goes without saying! Poor girls aren't very happy about me sliding on them yesterday. Lol too bad THEY don't get swollen like my leg!
  8. Explain KUGS to the noob please. Thanks for all the sympathy, y'all. I'll post pix as the colors develop. I will do some gear hunting while I recover. I'll try with my shirt on first- see how that goes.
  9. So, after singing an opera that Bikeslut could probably hear in Alpine as I washed out my scrape and a slightly uncomfortable sleeping position; I awaken finding those lovely random sore spots(shoulder, chest) that always appear the day after. Tomorrow should be even more eventful for that. BUT, you know what?? I woke up HAPPY and PROUD!! I rode as well as I could, I saw beautiful sights, felt temperature changes with the climate/terrain, I learned a bit, I manned up and rode more than halfway back home and I met some wonderfully awesome, fun guys!! I'm PROUD of my booboos because I got them LIVING my life, not watching it pass me by!!! Thank you ThumperBob for being my guardian slow poke angel most of the way! Thanks to TrophyHunter and Bikeslut for putting me and the bike back together again! I know I must have the sickness, because all that crash did was make me resolve to acquire more gear and fuel my passion to get back out and RIDE!!
  10. Oh, you pig! HAHA! First time I read Vacman's post I thought he said show a pic of your BOOBS, not booboo!!! I'm glad I read again because I had the pic all ready to go……..
  11. I have to add in here that when they were first pulling up and you said his wife was with him, I was super excited and cheering, so you have to imagine how my heart sank a little when the helmet came off and I saw facial hair! So, at lunch, I just HAD to say something. Folks, that was one of them thar rip the needle off the record party goes silent moments!! I wish I could upload the mental picture I have of TrophyHunter's face!!
  12. I'm pretty little. I should go shopping and try some different ones-I think I'll have a day or two off from riding to do that.
  13. I'm a 6. I have a pair size 7 that I was given, but they're uncomfortable, I'd be happy to trade them off, or up. These are a pair of Nofear mens size 6.

  15. I had an awesome day. Despite the boo-boo and disappointment of not riding all the way home, I had THE BEST DAY EVER!!! Thanks again, guys, for everything! Especially the pictures! I've got hubby thinking about coming out for a ride now that he's seen how awesome this is!! My face hurts from smiling as much as my leg hurts from falling-and that's A-OKAY!!

  18. There will be deconstruction/construction going on at my house and I'd prefer not to witness the carnage. I have some errands to run first thing, but then I'd like to ride out Ramona/Julian way. Any of you tour guides available? Route: https://maps.google....,6,8,9&t=m&z=10 Leaving from 7/11 at Lake Jennings/Old hwy 80 at 10:00am Won't be quick-I average 55mph Lunch in Julian. Please chime in with rendezvous points to meet up with others.(I'll need fuel in Ramona)

    So….Monday, then?

Let's mix it all up. We can decide as we go, can't we? I posted a general route so people could join along the way, if they wanted. Up to Ramona, we're set. You had mentioned Viejas Grade, so that's in. And maybe some go dirt and some go pavement and we meet in Julian for lunch? I'm sure we can figure it out as we go. Let's just meet n ride!! Woo-hoo!

    So….Monday, then?

I'm the noob, so I look to you guys for route help. I'd love to add in a dirt detour, if that's a possibility. I could use the practice if there's something easy enough?
