I would try “The tag shop” in El Cajon. They’ve been pretty good at finding ways around dmv issues for me. Good luck.

not sure I would call that their use of the file system; Aren’t we all here for content? Maybe another way of looking at it is top posters are fueling the forum and should be rewarded to post?
thanks for your time/work. -

I just rebuilt one and have no idea what I’m doing but did a lot of reading. Did you thoroughly take it apart (including mid body section!), clean every single hole (this carb has a LOT of them), and replace all gaskets including the round “pressure” gasket on the slide, Then jd jetting kit, float level, then in theory it purrs? I wasn’t much help with a shop to send it to sorry, or probably anything else

I think you’re talking about skyline? I first noticed it closed myself trying to ride the snow a couple winters ago during covid and I don’t think it re-opened since.. bummer cuz it’s a nice area.

Kennedy meadows. Right up your alley man..

Pretty sure smuggling and accidents happen up the 5 as well, are they closing that too?
I stay off the main rd when I ride there but I can tell there’s definitely been more SxS there pre-running for the 1000 lately. Bummer.

Little Off topic but how old are your kids? My 2 girls (14/16) like to ride/camp.. they're beginners but can move around pretty good..
I got lucky a few years ago myself just before pandemic and scored a pretty good 3/4 van for cheap, I use it only on camp trips been working pretty good so far (2 little bikes inside with all the stuff and mine on a hauler), and we sleep inside or/and in tents
The trailer mentioned above is a good option I think!

If it s in fact an easement then i think the party who has the right to use that easement is the one who can take action (and might be liable for that easement).
I don't know law but we were in escrow for a prop that had an easement thru a neighbor property, it was a messy situation, easements are complicated.
Bummer about the trail!

Just a headsup because that’s really a plan changer, and a bummer: trail between ojos and uruapan is now completely off limits. Plan accordingly.
Personal experience:
it has been on and off with new gates and ranchers allowing access for the past couple years, but this past weekend it’s all solid locked. Had a good chat (I’m fluent) with the first rancher just south of ojos. This guy is ok and has been letting us through (he just dislikes sxs and yahoos) but the issue is further south. A new association (the whole ejido came together apparently) built new big gates at the bottle neck down the canyon, locked and no access granted. He explained this new coalition is dead set on not allowing access to everyday sport riders. Infamous hector is involved, money, politics.. whatever the case the trail is done for and that’s shitty news
