    n00b ride @ Otay

Looks great- where do you stage the bikes? Is there a GPS for it? Thanks!
  2. Awesome Ride at the CORE for Kids. Rode with partner Scott and met Ted and Ben at breakfast. Ted had just bought the new 500 KTM so we wanted to ride with him to see what it could do.... ;)/>/> It was awesome to say the least. Ben and Ted were great riding partners- and I look forward to riding with them again. Everyone at the event was so cool, helpful and sincere- especially Crawdaddys wife and Deb who I spilled beer on while Deb was saying she wouldn't remember me- will ya now? ;)/>/>
  3. Looking forward to the event- See you Friday night at Glamis north- Drinkin' wine outside the cabin.

    LAB2V 2012

This pic around 9:30 AM Day Two- after a difficult riverbed wash, we climbed up to a mesa on the South side of Hwy 40- For orientation, you could use GPS, or just look for the snaking dust cloud of riders ahead.

    LAB2V 2012

That was an epic ride. ATCKIRK and I partnered up for it and had a blast. Thanks ATCK for teaching me the finer points of riding sand for some 400+miles. I think by the end of the ride I was finally getting it-LOL. This pic at the butt crack of dawn on Day #2 in Barstow.
  7. AT- I think you and I may line up well. I have a riding partner not on this website that will challenge us- but I want to try to keep up with him to make the town before sunse. Email if interested. bacchussd at gmail.com
  8. Super excited about this ride! I'd be into a SDAR riding group. I don't know anyone who is doing it personally. I'm an intermediate rider. Riding KTM 525 exc AGE-36 I have also posted over at the D37 website under dualsport- riding buddies needed. Thanks!

    Need 76Cx Help

I'm new to GPS units and ready to throw this thing out the window. Garmin help rep was not helpful. All I want to to is have maps for CA, and Utah. I cant seem to open any maps on my mac that I have downloaded from various sites, and this unit comes with very little info. Is there a SDAR help group or something for this? Anyone want to talk on the phone? Would you mind? Thanks! Justin bacchussd@gmail.com

    Dunlop 606 tires

I have d606 tires to fulfil the DOT rating needed for areas like Anza Borrego- where a ranger would not let me take my bike off the trailer bc of lack of DOT on old tires. Is there a better DOT alternative than the 606's? They suck on corners, are narrow for sand and wear out quickly and get chunky pieces falling off the knobbies. I hate them. Need new DOT for the LABLV ride. Suggestions?
  12. Great pics! We were up there this weekend too- did Laurel Lakes and the killer single track between Mammoth and June. We also saw the Crawdaddy truck pass us on 395!1 Killer riding- good fishing- until we got chased out of our fishing spot below Lake Mary by a massive Black Bear

    COLORADO JULY 2012

Great pics DSFox! I grew up riding in CO and have ridden all of the trails you cite. You are right on on all of the marks- beautiful, tough and high altitude! It really is amazing Dualsport country! I really miss riding there- and appreciate your great report. Plenty of water on trails too- here's a pic of a trail meeting a river.

    Utah and Colorado

DSfox- Have a great time! I grew up riding these two areas. The area around Taylor Park and Crested Butte is awesome with tons of beautiful riding and wildflowers as tall as you! Also- Telluride is awesome with some very difficult riding to be found on Black Bear pass. Have fun! Look forward to your photos! My profile pic was taken near Telluride on a huge river crossing.
  15. I'm signed up for it and can't wait. This will be my first time doing LABLV.
