I have not seen you around for a bit! I do miss your write-ups and your ribbing! How is the band?

I have been looking for the real legend bike that really got the movement going on adventure riding, it is a classic and it is the best year of the lot for several reason. You can find them on the west coast from a range if they are well kept for around $6500 to $8000 with 50 to a 100,000 miles on them, but they are getting harder and harder to find. I found mine up in Wisconsin and it will be in a box next week making its home to my garage. The bike I am talking about is a 2002 BMW R 1150 GSA, it is one bad bike to ride and it is bullet proof in many ways. The bike that I bought is what I would call a garage queen that only had 28,000 easy road miles on her and I verified the millage through the Vin# .Take some time and read on them, If you have ever seen JAJA's bike you will know what I mean. This bike is going back to Alaska, Canada and Mexico with me. I am looking forward in packing her and making her mine. One might think this is nothing more than a big pig, I look at it as one of BMW best year ever adventure motorcycle they built, this bike still has preserved that iron look without all the plastics and it is still light for its class. It is well a balanced dependable machine with a few electronics on it that usually will not go bad. See you at a destination soon.

Nice! I had a home at hidden shores for years when my kids where young, I taught my son and daughter how to ride on those grounds. I would love to take some guys from the club and do a couple of nights that way. Great Ride. You can take Red Cloud Rd. all the way back then it will turn into a wash that will take you to Walters Camp or you can take dirt to Blyth, lot of possibility's that way.

I do not have the time JAJA, My daughter is doing an Internship at the Federal Sate building in DC and I have to take her back in the next couple of weeks or I would of done a FLY and ride.

My wife Kathy told me about these movies and I have watched several.

JaJa and myself are putting on a camp and ride for two days. This will be a great ride for you if you would like to experience what it is like to camp off your bike. We will be leaving JAJA's home in Ramona Friday November 3, no later than 2pm we will head up to Idyllwild and staying the night Idyllwild park (To make a reservation at this park for the 3rd call 800-234-7275, two tents per site, has bathrooms and warm showers, make your reservation soon). We will eat dinner and breakfast in Idyllwild. If you cannot make Fridays ride make sure you meet us at the shell station at 9:15 in Idyllwild Saturday morning. Saturday will be mostly dirt to Joshua Tree, we will be camping up in the mountains and there is no cost for this night. For Saturday you must provide yourself dinner and breakfast, and carry your own water. Basically be able to take care of yourself for 24hr. Once we are on the dirt road to the camp site no provisions for at least 25 miles. Get up the next morning make breakfast and ride home. Riding conditions for Friday will be mostly all blacktop with some dirt. Easy day ride! Saturday will be mostly dirt and some sand. The pace of the ride will be easy and casual riding, we want everyone who would like to join to have a safe and enjoyable experience. If you have never camped off of your bike you do not know what you are missing. It is something I love to do and it will unwinded your brain. I will be posting more information if we have riders who would like to join. Again we will help you and tell you what gear you need if you have never camped off your bike before, you will need to post JAJA or myself with your questions.
