  1. Great pics indeed! Thanks for sharing. Especially pic #43, the girly bike rider RACER! I'll have to find out how he did. R2 RIDER

    Wow.....insane

When the Girly Bike Riders say "Anywhere" they mean it! Yes, folks, it's the Yamaha WR250R - as pointed out by the crew on the ADV "Naked" thumper thread. And, yes, absolutely, Safety First! with his day-glo jacket. Ring-ring: 'Hello. This the Darwin Award Institute, we're interested in Mr. Dumba$$'. (Sorry, I don't mean to harsh your mellow if you're like minded) How embarrassing & entertaining. Thanks to our United States Military for protecting our freedom to be ourselves. R2 RIDER

Wayne, I kept "setting as background". Thank you, and all, for the pics and stories. Thanks Mr. Crawdaddy for getting everybody together on another extrreem adventure. MAN, I gotta get out more. R2 RIDER

    Mickey's Search and facebook thread

Hope and well wishes to the family. I had read the Jeep Recovery posting too after I gained access to the MO board and just assumed that Mickey was probably just grounded for a long, long time. I'm sorry, I had no idea he was gone. If I can help in any way, please let me know. Lee

    Free Rack

Guess that excludes the WR250 with the pink basket. I'm sorry, but that is funny sheet right there. To add, a powder-coat (or, better yet, natural) finish is better imho than anodized. I bought a BLACK Pro Motto Billet rack (~$140.00!) that has turned a very becoming BROWN on a blue fender. If I really cared I'd contact them for a swap but I'll check with Justin on colors, maybe there's a glitter option. :clapping: R2 RIDER

    MO Passwords

Hey Randy & Admin, I was one of the members that pm'd you about a mo password. It's not that the password I have doesn't work, I'm allmost positive I didn't get one when I registered back in 06/09. "The password is the one password that works for the multiple MO Forums." I would be happy to help support the coolest riding family I know of. And Jayson, I'm ready to trade you seal guards when you're ready. R2 RIDER

    Howdy

Hey, a big thanks to SDAR Cast, Crew & Members what a great resource. And thanks to Jaynen for helping me find you guys. My name is Lee and I'm a 42 year old noob. I rode a 1970 something Yamaha enduro for a bit when I was 16 and later, a new 1985 Honda Nighthawk 650 for a few years and now a 2008 Yamaha WR250R dualsport. I got it in AUG 08 and just turned 9000 commuting (@ 65 MPG) miles. Gas being $$$ 4 frigging something a gal back then and 60 mi to work & back @ 15 MPG, I had to do something. 'Coulda got a Ninja or a Rebel but the allure of dirt roads & trails said 'why limit yourself?' I've ventured to a few places but I look foward to learning & riding all areas I can. Speaking of learning, thanks to Gypsyfrog for posting of the military dirtbike classes, I am signed-up for thursday, 06/25. I'm a DOD civilian aboard Camp Pendleton & have missed a couple of dirt classes there. Speaking of riding areas I plan to join & support the org's that fight for biking freedom. I like to fish both fresh and saltwater and, sadly, am aware of Environmental Extreemists and their wealthy friends. I work every other weekend and get some weekdays off. I'm in Fallbrook. I got to get me some dirt riding boots (not work boots), and knee/shin pads & other armor too before I need it. Hope to ride with y'all sometime sooner or later. R2 Rider p.s. Some pics (maybe) http://s611.photobucket.com/albums/tt191/TL_PETE/
  10. Jaynen! Dude, I had planned to thank you on the INTRO board, thru your posting on TT is how I found SDAR. Thank You. Yes, it's an '08 Yamaha WR250R. My daily commuter 90% & ADV 10% bike. Fuel savings are paying for the bike. Thought I might see you in Fallbrook but look forward to meeting you. Did you try any of that chocolate covered bacon? R2 RIDER
  11. Hey Ya'll Thanks be to Doug for posting up the ride and to Zina, Dave, Wayne & our other brother Dave for joining in on the ADV and letting a lurking newbe tag along. I had a blast. It was nice meeting & riding with you all. My fave parts of the day were: the pre-ride head's up "Just ride at your own pace", the off the cuff notion to take Tanaja TT up & the road to Case Springs 'n back (I am stronger now after riding it at that clip & still only a little sore), Bagstr for checking to see if I was still upright periodically & Wayne for not laughing me off the trail following me from Camp Pendleton. I only almost lost it a few times. Wayne spotted deer in Tanaja and pointed them out to me, thanks Wayne I love's me some critter's great or small. At Wildomar Dave RedRider joined us on the road to Hell for lunch. I thought the place was pretty cool if you like bikes stop by there sometime. Dave and I even saw what appeared to be a small formula 1 car zip by a couple times, looked like fun. From there I had to bail for fuel in Elsinore and I came back up & on North Divide but only to the campground and turned around for home. 15 degree temp diff from the lake to there for sure. I had told the Wife I'd be home sometime after lunch and it was 3:30 when I had to say 'Well it is after lunch'. Looking forward to the next one, thanks again guy's. R2 RIDER
