  1. Love Baja. My GF and I went last year. Left on a Friday afternoon on my R1200RS. Had lunch in Puerto Nuevo, stayed in an Airbnb in La Mission next to La Fonda. Hiked to some falls sat am then rode into Guadalupe Valley stayed at Terra de Valle which is an out of the way little motel w/home made wine, toured and had dinner at Deckmans (only place we made reservations and worth it), then hit the wineries again and stayed Sunday night at Villa Victoria de Valle (I forgot where we had dinnner but it was awesome. Wanted to stay at Encuentro Guadalupe because of the cool design but at +$300 bones a night decided to just hang out there and stay elsewhere. Easy ride back out to the North East to Tecate or NW back through TJ. We had a 4-day weekend so just played with it. Ended up w/lunch in Julian on Monday then home to Carlsbad. Whatever you pick (Big or Small) she will love it . The people are awesome and the views are incredible. Cheers.

Looking fwd to getting back after it, as I've already forgotten all the rides and routes! Grumpy face pic is from a Baja ride last month, was cooked! 4. Just back from two back to back weekends riding Baja. Stopped twice and never asked for insurance papers. I always purchase though on every trip (bajabound). Wondering where this is coming from and if it's real but just not circulated to the peeps in the "field". Cheers!
  5. Awesome ride and beautiful pics! Love the top of clouds shot! Thx for sharing.

    Sat Phones?

Chris, I've used Iridiums throughout the world including Baja. This isn't my article, but it's a good one on what works, what does't. Not a plug for the company, but I swear by Iridium and recently (even overseas) Spot. Being able to talk is great, being able to be tracked is even more important. A backup if you do have an iPhone (GSM or CDMA) is motionX GPS that can send updates to whoever you chose along your track as well as txt, but again, you must have GSM and well...data charges. TelCell works but the throw-away pohone packages are drying up, so make sure you update your international calling plan/data plan before the trip and close it out at the end.
  7. Awesome, glad all had fun and no moto dramas!
  8. Eric did this 7 day route. I stole 5 days worth. May offer some ideas but you can do alot in 7days, esp if you want to see both coast.
