  1. it would be awesome if we could do 30 street and 70 dirt!
  2. Are there any trails that would start in Ramona area (past dump) and go to the top of Palomar? That would be fun!
  3. I am interested as well....sounds fun!
  4. There are also guys hiding on Palomar mountain (tight side). First time I saw them I ducked....startled me! Pic of me on my FZ1 BEE http://kneedownphotos.smugmug.com/Palomar%...untain%20Photos http://www.rickclemson.com/SplashPage.asp?...omar%20Mountain
  5. I will be out there by way of Lake Morena tomorrow afternoon......may see you along the trails!
  6. Are you willing to post your GPS tracks? I would love to do that ride!
  7. I took my head from my oder XR to Action Cylinder Head (561-6267) and then over to Rick's Machine shop (562-8010) both in Lakeside, within a mile of each other. Both places would not work on the old cylinder head cause the cam saddle was worn out. That said, I use them both quite often over the years for machine work and they are very capable to repair any cylinder head or engine.
  8. Just went in tonight and stocked up on a few items!

    Custom Seats

I was just in San Diego Sportcycles and was inquiring about a seat for my XR.....he said that the SDG seat is a pretty good seat. They do have one there for a YZ to see if it would suit you. As you probably already know....his prices are lower than the online price which is already affordable. www.sdgusa.com

    Win a COOL bike

GEEEZ! That bike really brings back memories! My first "Big Boy" bike was a Hodaka Wombat 125. I will never forget that I kept a tool pouch on the bike with emory cloth and extra woodruff keys. I had just left the blue inn with some buddies and broke another woodruff key on the crankshaft and magneto. There I sit under the 78 in the wash about 10 years old tearing apart my Hodaka sanding down a woodruff key to fit. Another toy that I have to say "damn I wish I would have never sold that!" Just like the lotto I won't win (my name is not Jose or Nacho) but can't miss the chance to re-live some youth.
  12. My 94' sh*t the bed last year by blowing out a valve seat. I replaced the head with a used head as well as the cam, exhaust, battery, valve seals, head gasket etc. Now that I have it running....exhaust gets red hot! I thought at first that the carb had clogged jets. So I took the carb off and apart and cleaned. Put back together and she still gets hot, and I noticed only on the left side. Also puffing oil smoke out of the exhaust. Any ideas? Getting really tired of screwing with this bike! Especially cause it just sits and I ride my 06' instead. Thanks, Mike
