The best I could suggest from Alpine would be, Viejas Grade to Olde 80, To Pine Creek and Deer Meadow, then Sunrise to Thing Valley, then more olde 80 out. Better off to unload at Golden Acorn and pretend that you rode the whole way out there... that's what I'd do

I did get a verbal ok to release the carnage video. We (well he...I just was there in case he needed help; he didn't)got him to a trailer he has stashed, and he confirmed he made it home safely.

"Dragging a foot" is not something I do...like almost never. But 40 psi on street tires, called for another contact patch. Tires were taking turns breaking traction. On my DRZ, I can usually stop on that hill...no such luck today

damn straight, I have six kids and ride whenever the Hell I want to... why just the other day, totally spur of the moment... wait... was that the other day? Well, a few weeks ago... what's that?... it was in June? Really? I haven't gone for a ride since June? anyway, in June, I went for a ride, and... oh... it was a half day ride, then I had to be back by 12 before the kids got home... but I did it in my truck!

from past experience, I've found that if we have 5 non-n00bs, we'll easily get 5 n00bs, lurkers, non-committal types to show up.
