Hope you made it out today, feel free to post pics. I won't be able to ride until Wed this week. I was thinking of trying to scale El Cajon Mt. There are a couple of truck trails going up, any opinions or experience out there? Are these roads gated?2wheels let me know when you are going next week.

Just out of curiousity, where do you you live? When in SD I am possibly as far from good dirt riding as one could get, Pacific Beach. Although it seems as though Montgomery field is central to going out North, East or South County. Actually I think El Cajon would be better. Maybe I can talk my employer into moving operations to Gillespee Field...No problems, I feel I've missed a bunch of great rides already, but then I remind myself that it's August and the real season hasen't even started...

I sold my DR which was actually a DR435 with big mikuni carb, cam, headwork, HD clutch, exhaust and a completely reworked suspension. It was a killer bike but when someone offered to buy it for exactly what I paid a year earlier, I took the money and ran. I bought it with all that work already done, but like I said earlier, I had it for about six months and was looking for more. My bike before that was a motocross prepped KX250 that I used to trailride with in NY, so maybe my views are skewwed.I'll be able to ride either Sundays or Mondays, not both, and most every Tuesday for sure. Fridays for me would be the best as I could ride all day 8AM-6PM.Anybody else available on Fridays?

I can't do monday my bike is in the g/f's garage in PB. By the time I get the bike out and back it'd be too late in the morning for me. Normally my bike is at Montgomery Field airport and I can be ready to ride by 8AM. I may or may not be able to make it this Tuesday. I'm nursing a back injury from last weekend. Hopefully a little r&r this weekend will take care of it.I will have to let you know about a Tuesday morning ride in a few days.

Wheels,Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this Sundays festivities. I split my time between Burbank and San Diego and will be away this weekend. I wish I could attend, but duty calls.I started riding many years ago and got quite good at tackling all kinds of terrain. I have been without a bike for the last 7 years so unfortunately I must consider myself a noob all over again. I bought a big bike because I'm a big dude and I didn't want to outgrow this one as quickly as I did my last bike, a very modded DR350. I haven't been riding anywhere in SD other than Corral Canyon and that was 7 years ago. I am open to going anywhere you've already been or want to go. I have spent hundreds of hours flying over all the areas that we would ride and have a few ideas of places I've seen from the air and would like to visit but I don't really know how to get there.

2wheels,I see you are often looking for partners on weekday rides. Starting next week I will be available for daily rides M-F. Lets talk and plan I gotta start breaking in my 6-fitty. Jon
