Another valuable discussion with George today regarding the 2024 KTM evolution.

There are variations from the Owners Manual. George has field data from many riders that can help you achieve the ride you are searching for. Carried my shock and front legs up to Alpine for a change of break-in oil. Invaluable set-up instructions. If you want to fly level and straight, check in with George.

 Good Luck out there, Bags

Could go on forever but researching shops to feel confident on who to send my motor to.

Dave Hopkins - I've e-mailed and discussed options with him. He did my 07' 450 and happy but just trying to avoid shipping it.

Caflash on KTMtalk. PM'd there weeks ago but no reply.

Ron Bishop - Haven't spoken to but hear his shop is darn good

Mike Tripes - Tuned my 07' 450 for the PO but i stink at researching so not sure if he has his own shop or not.

TKS Performance - Just received this companies info from Wierdrider (Thanks) and seeing what they are all about

	My 07' KTM 525 EXC Backstory (134hr - 2231mi)

In the Build section i did a small build thread. It was maintained well, was solid and had low hours and miles but the PO had no idea what soap was. Turned it into a Supermoto a few months ago and began chasing an oil leak. The first leak was from the Crankcase breather. Otiker clamp solved that one. Ran it for a few miles and was wet around the Drain plug area. Needed and oil change so replaced all the o-rings on the short and long screens, filter covers and put a brand new KTM OEM drain plug and crush washer. Still leaked and while cleaning up i saw this mess. Between the head gasket and what i believe is the case gasket leaking, i want the entire motor blown apart to get new gaskets/seals everywhere. Since it will be apart i would like the bottom end checked and any bearing upgrades or other mods done, head done with valves, piston etc. Your basic rebuild.

All of my klrs have been done by Fred Hink at arrowhead and it gave me a reason to hangout in Moab, but Fred has retired, he was a master at this I watched him do it at least 3 times and it was a flawless operation without even draining the oil. Let me know if anyone has a suggestion. Thanks. Tom

My 1190R has a service indication on the gauge. I don't think it's a service minder, more like an error code. Bike doesn't have too many miles on it, less than 4000 I think as I hardly ride it. Less adventurous than I thought, plus busy with work and fam.

But would still like to get the bike checked out and maybe have the oil changed, possibly a new rear tire.

Any recommendations for shops in North County. Previously had it serviced at American KTM in Ramona. Was a bit of a haul, but they took pretty good care of me there.

Could make a drive to other parts of SD if it comes down to it, but would prefer some place closer just to avoid the extra time spent driving forth and back.

	Good morning all,

Is there a shop you all go to for lights, racks, skid plates, and other ADV related installs? I'm not at the point where I can confidently install accessory lights, heated grips, etc.

I bought my bike V-Strom from Fun Bike center. They can do some of it, but they didn't seem too confident when I asked. I got a "Yea, we could probably do that.".....

Hello, I'm looking for some recommendations on a local shop in the east county area. From creeping in the background, it seems like Suspension 101 is the go to for suspension set up/issues? But, for other maintenance/repair issues I was looking at M&M Offroad. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone! I've already searched the forum, but didn't find anything about this...

I have a couple Montana friends visiting in the next month, both of whom would like to ride while they're here. One of my buddies will ride my other bike, but that still leaves one of them without a dirt scooter. Are there any shops/companies that rent DECENT DIRT BIKES (ie. WRs, KTM EXCs, XR 400s, etc) for trail riding in/around San Diego? A beat up KLR will not help, as we'll head to McCain or Corral for a day or two for some intermediate singletrack.

	Thanks!

Went in today to get my ktm 690 today and couldn't believe the deal I got, I was going to pick up a 2017 at a huge reduction in price but after I was offered a 2018 at close to the same price I had to bite. I purchased my Africa twin from them 4 mos ago and got a smoking deal but this time they far exceeded my expectations on price and service, great shop, and outstanding people who stand behind what they sell and free oil changes for life.

Hey Winty, thanks for the Mobius info, and the gratitude prompt about local companies that clearly show they care.

Monday morning I went out to my commute bike (weestrom) and noticed that an entire bar was not attached on my crash bar. No big surprise, they seemed a little cheapy anyway, so I started looking for givi and motech replacements. Apparently a bunch of weestroms crash bars break like this due to vibration as it broke without a bonk.

Hence, since Justin at Nomadic Racks in Santee has helped me a few times before, I called him, and his reply was to drop by ASAP, and then he welded it on the spot for a very considerate fee. Then we talked about future welding projects . All back together and ready to ride..... Well done Justin!

If anybody has any recommendation for a small independent shop that does good work on Husqvarnas, I'd love to hear it. My 2006 450SMR could use a healthy dose of TLC .

I don't hate on GP- not at all. Paul has done a lot of work on my bike in the past, but if I can I'd like to support a little guy.

	Any recommendations?
