<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	Long time no see. Question. I'm thinking of consolidating many bikes to less bikes. Tired of carbs. Anybody have real world experience with the 300 rally?
</p>

<p>
	I'd use my T7 for big trips but need a play around lighter bike too. Ocotillo, forest roads, etc.
</p>

<p>
	 anybody?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance.
</p>

	Anybody know someone who has bought one of these new bikes? Preliminary reviews are promising. Big Rock Moto (youtube) did a first ride and it looks like a great bike. It's a more offroad capable V-Strom so it would seem. I have a 96 Honda XR600 that is plated and a 04 Honda VTX1300 and I'm thinking about selling the XR for something better suited for riding to and from some fire roads/lighter offroad stuff. Hate to sell one of my bikes, not that I need the money, but the wife would seriously critique me having 3 bikes. Thoughts?

	I have heard of CFMoto before, but I don't think I have seen one in person.  Anyone had their eyeballs on one of these?  I think it's good to have more choices in the market, there's a seat for every butt/a butt for every seat.

	The Buell brand has always interested me, the guy made a fairly competent sport bike out of a Sportster engine...who does something like that??   Anyway, the brand has lived and died more than once from what I understand, and now it looks like they are trying something different (not like anyone would expect anything else).

	Finally a return of the Italian importer branded Honda line, years ago we had over here the HM Moto built FIM Spec Enduro models for a short time before American Honda shut it down. Hope Matt can keep this going, with those super cool tweener size CRFs. A 300cc CRF is a wicked thought. Note: These are do it yourself, or Checkpoint builds, I think that's where the line is drawn, it's an aftermarket kit build, not a roll off the showroom bike. In Italy it's a roll off the showroom bike.

	Power disappointment, rode today for first time (had another damn back surgery so been down) this thing is dog slow in any mode for a 20k otd bike (not what I paid) choose a dL or storm instead, even my Africa twin could eat this thing. It has a lot of techy stuff with power modes and I’ve tried it all, my ninja 650 would eat this for lunch, just didn’t want someone else to make a 20k mistake on this turd.  I won’t even sell it on here!

	A couple buddies and I did the Beta demo day in Anza on Saturday and had a blast. I have to say I think I am in love with the 390 RR-S. Much a do all desert and single track with a luggable long stroke motor.  Also checked out their EVO 300 trials bike. That little thing is awesome and would be a skills builder for sure.  Here is a short vid of the 390 if interested, I forgot to turn on the camera otherwise.

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>Being capable of circumnavigation as oppose to circumventing the trail is a premium choice. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>We’ve all wanted that 6th gear, that FI and to be the heavyweight on the lightweight do it all bike. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>Honda has upped the game, by advertising a Motocross bike that’s a dualsport bike that you won’t need a truck or a trailer to ride. And that bike is the 2019 CRF450L. Battle born from the CRF series R and X, with as many attributes as possible form the world famous, Baja winning pedigree. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>As the first CRF to be dubbed street legal, with a smooth linear 6 speed transmission and a smooth delivering fuel injection on top of the CRF450R suspension spliced with a vibration dampening drive train and urethane filled vibration dampening swing arm and foam lined side cases, it’s as smooth on road as it is at home soaking up rocks and bumps off road.  </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>At first glance, it resembles a CRF450R with lights. When you grab the bars to mount up, it’s surprisingly feels like a CRF450R. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>And while riding to the trails, you can feel the time and science Honda put into the vibration dampening development. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>Once on the trail, just about all dualsport disappears and the CRF pedigree comes to life. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>Here in SoCal and Baja we get just about every type of imaginable terrain. And a ton of sand. Matter of fact, if we get hard pack or rock steps, most likely we traveled through deep sand to get there. And the 450L is as nimble in sand as the R or the X versions. With a highly detuned motor and extra rings on the piston for longevity, it’s a compromise that will keep you riding to and from the trail, while keeping that upcoming rebuild at bay. Touted to go 20,000 miles before the first rebuild will be encouraging to keep that throttle twisted and life behind bars a joy. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>With 4,500 miles in the first four months with only one valve adjustment, I’m very pleased to know that this CRF is like the other CRF’s that paved the way before.   </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>At 13,000 plus in the first year with no issues. 90% on dirt. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">

</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>I pretty much went through the OEM stock chain just shortly after wearing out the OEM rear tire. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>For replacement, I went with a DID X-Ring chain and the stock Cush drive sprockets. The stock steel Cush sprockets were surprising a value priced alternative to aluminum aftermarket. I went for longevity now less rotating mass. </span>
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;font-size:23px;">
	<span>Stock tires. The IRC tires were very welcoming to the local twisties found here in the SoCal canyons that weave their way towards our local fire trails that bridge the gap to the open desert via the surrounding mountains of San Diego. We are truly blessed to have the best overall variety of terrain found anywhere.</span>

<p>
	While traveling in Peru, I could not help checking out the local rides.  Almost all were in the 125 to 200 cc range with very few any larger.  Bigger the cities, bigger the bore.  Smaller bikes had carburetors and appeared to function well between 10,000 ft to 15,000 ft elevation.  Rare to see a two-stroke.  Lots of Chinese and Korean machines with the regular Japanese hardware (Honda/Yamaha).  Names like Mavila (Korean, now made in Mexico), Ronco, Wanxin (Honda CT 70 clone?), Bajaj, Ssenda, Lifan and Futong to name a few.  Stuff I've never heard of before.  The MotoKab taxis were very popular in smaller towns.

<p>SWM (Speedy Working Motor<strong>cycles</strong>) now. Is reborn (look up SWM back in the 70s they built enduro comp bikes) in the "old" Varese Husqvarna Plant. They appear (in their real enduro comp style machines) to be using the older series Husky 250/310 and 450/510 engines, as well as the semi perimeter chassis from the last of that series of Husky twin cammers (before x-lite and GS450 engine).</p>
<p>Financed by Chinese company, remanufactured under the engineer that designed those 100% Italian dual cam machines Ampelio Macchi.</p>
<p>So if you like your mid to late 2000s (@ 03 -10)</p>
<p>Husky TE/TC/TXC250/310 and or TE/TC/TXC450/510 there is a resurrected brand name SWM soon to be on our shores with all "new" well evolved bikes as well as 610/630 type big DS and a series of retro machines.</p>
<p>All my 450s TC, TE and TXC from this series were mechanically very solid and bullet proof.</p>
