Bikeslut - yeah, hopped onto kernan at crossroads coming back from mccain/lark (got off of the 8). Dont look too hard, was maybe time for a new one anyway. Blake - haha felt recovered after riding on the highway a little, but was totally dead by the time I got to PV (and without a phone). Probably need to cut myself off next time.

Fyi, decided to go up kernan from crossroads on my way home (I thought I wanted more, maybe wasn't a great idea haha) and my phone hopped out somewhere between crossroads and Pine Valley. If you happen across it, great, if not, oh well. Needed a new one anyway.

Not sure where to put this... Was going up kernan on my way home from Lark and neglected to take the phone out of the RAM mount. Didn't notice until I was almost in Pine Valley and was way too tired to try to go all the way back. If anyone finds it let me know and we can exchange for cash/beer.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to try to make it out there by 830ish (coming all the way from the coast). Will be on black 990 with white helmet.

Had a riding partner for Sunday but he had to bail. I'll probably go out there either way. Will be on the 990 - should be able to keep up with small bikes granted we avoid the absolute hardest trails.

Hey Dan, Conditions were great. Seems like it's a pretty well protected canyon, couldn't tell it had rained at all. Also, FYI, going down is less technical than going up - although only really one or two rock gardens that require careful line choice for a big bike.

Anyone know how Berdoo Canyon gets with a decent amount of rain (like the rain we're having today?)? Rode it a few weeks ago and loved it; going to JTree first thing tomorrow morning and was planning on getting into the park that way, just want to know if I should expect a lot of debris / mud / etc.

Need some new riding pants shortened for my midget legs. Anyone know a good seamstress close to Point Loma thats worked with cordura? Talked to the one we usually go to and she seemed confused when I described what I wanted done.

Thumper, Camping configuration was two in a tent (on pads), one on the ground (on a pad), in an established campsite. Achilles heel was necessity to have fire ring to cook huge steak otherwise, we probably would've been out by ourselves.

How about that, my wife and I are leaving on the 990 tomorrow for the same area. Maybe we'll see you on the way, just look for the grey 990 loaded up with an unreasonable amount of stuff
