  1. Just wanted to say Farewell, moved 15 hours north and likely won't be back anytime soon. I participated in the Desert Dash for a couple of years and went on some local informal rides with some of you, and have to say those experiences were always great!!! Thanks for the hospitality, and stay safe!
  2. I'm in Yuma, so I thought I would just leave from the house? Still trying to work out the details, but as soon as I do I'll get a reservation.
  3. I'm in tentatively. Sounds like a fun ride, and I've never ridden to Parker, just have to see if I can get the proverbial hall pass.
  4. Kody....that is fine. I need your T-shirt sizes and dstss and fenix f u haven't responded in the other thread. Dave said he has posted their sizes (not sure which thread) but I'm XL
  5. I am planning on riding sweep on Sunday w/ DSTSS and Fenix. If I'm not mistaken, I'll be filling in for Danrider who can't make it.
  6. A few more pics of the ride! Great time, even with the Black Mountain Slide! Near Walters Camp Black Mountain The view from atop Black Mountain with Glamis in the distance. Great View! The Calm before the storm. This Pic doesn't do the steep nasty terrain any justice!! One of the steepest rock sections I've ever done. Yuma Adam and HotRod82 walking down, Eric walking back up to lend Fenix a hand. Eric and I "Rode" down this thing (which consisted of walking down while sitting on the seat) and we both laid it over. I fell right as Yuma Adam and HotRod82 crested the top, which helped them make the decision to walk down. The view from the bottom with everyone down safe.

No luck with the photos. I downsized to 800 x 600 with approx. 600kb and it skips the attachment and reports error code 500? If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong let me know. Thanks

    YUMA

Thanks for inviting me on the great ride Dave. I really enjoyed getting to explore Yuma, La Paz, and Imperial Counties, meeting some great people, and just getting out and riding! Really great ride, great scenery, a few falls, a sprained finger (Danrider's), a flat tire (my boot fortunately), and some really cool mines. I explored one of the mines just before we reached Red Cloud and really enjoyed that. I was glad to be of a little help to Deb, and would gladly do it again anytime. Deb was impressive the way she 'man-handled' her tall 450 through the tough spots. We all laid it on the ground except for Dave, whose only real issue was a momentary stall in the rock section. We got lost for a second (my fault), but that only added to the adventure. I have some pics I'll add, but I have to figure out how to reduce the size first. See you at the Dash!
  9. Wish I could have made it! But looking forward to getting out there on Friday!

    Anyone in Yuma? Let's Ride!

Thanks everyone. I've got some leads and found a local rider or two. Exactly what I was looking for. Good to know SDAR's reach extends so far!
