  1. Another handful of us are in as well... Ken S., 1K Step (Chad P.), Courtney (not SDAR), OB Steve and myself (the other Chad). Looking forward to this ride with much anticipation! I've been invited down a number of years now and this is the first year it has worked out.

    Texas road trip

Cool vid Pete! Mad props for making the trip to Texas! Love Moab too! I've met buddies at Moab/Green River every April for the past 8 or so years. We've done much of Moab "proper" and once did Slickrock Trail at night! Have spent the last couple years staying in Green River (about 40 mins from Moab) riding the White Wash Sand Dunes and San Rafael Swell areas. There are a ton of awesome trails out that way to explore as well - Ten Mile Wash, Dead Cow, Tubes, and the infamous 5 MOH. I would recommend at least one day out there for anyone doing a multiple day trip to the Moab area. Accomodations are generally a good bit cheaper in Green River as compared to Moab as well. Thanks for sharing! Keep the awesome vids coming!
  3. Nice job Robert! Pretty cool pic... Gitt'n 'er done!

    KTM Twins beware!

I ordered once from KTM Twins without issue, but that was a number of years ago. I'll throw in a plug for Chaparral Motorsports in Riverside http://www.chaparral-racing.com/ I have ordered from Chap Moto a number of times over the past 4 years (gear, tires, oil, OEM KTM parts). I have always been happy with the service. Also stopped into their Riverside location on my way to Utah a couple of times. Impressive layout of bikes, gear and accessories. Online, generally a full selection of OEM parts for KTMs and Japanese bikes. Full line of gear and accessories as well. Ship same day on in-stock items and typically have next day delivery with ground shipping (the cheapest) to San Diego. Customer sales support (phone) has been great when needed very few times. They were right on a return and reshipment of expensive knee braces when I had an issue. Most orders are received without issue. Their system is not the best at providing shipping confirm and tracking numbers. However, they generally provide an order number quickly and you can look up order status almost immediately. The only issue I had is that I received the shipping confirmation after I received the product the next day... So not overly offended. Selection and service on par with Revzilla and RMATV, which I have used a number of times as well. I usually go to Chap Moto first because the product gets here quicker, for cheaper. My $0.02 compadres!

    Pine Valley- Gate CLOSED 1/8/17

1Kstep and I talked with some Jeepers at McCain on Dec. 30th. (We thought it odd for Jeepers to be at McCain.) They were inquiring about any good jeep trails in the immediate area and we told them nothing great at McCain, but CC was just up the road with great stuff. (Not giving them much credit for knowing the area for jeep trails ;). ) Then they told us they had just come from CC and the gate going up was closed there as well. They were able to speak with a ranger who informed them that the FS (might have the proper agency wrong) thought there was risk of road washout damage from the rains, so the FS decided to close the road up to CC. Also mentioned the Pine Valley gate fire road, but they said that road was boring, so appears they were not mistaken about where they were when speaking with the ranger. So possibly (hopefully) nothing more than rain related??
