Alpine to Anza Overnight Ride Sept. 15 & 16th

Recommended Posts

Hell yeah baby, that's what a weekend should be about.

Thanks to an excellent group of players, it made for some more over the top good times.

I didn't get but one picture, but I know Jim was doing his thing, I'm waiting in anticipation to see what he comes up with.  A HUGE thanks to KKUG, he brought the affair to a whole nother level.

I believe 350Thumper made it back to civilization. Nice little out & back brother.  It was nice to meet Roy and John on this one, both great riders. Uncle Champ went back through 74 to Palm Springs, how did that go?

And we met a guy from San Diego when we were getting gas before returning, Mike I think, who rode back with us to Warner Springs. A possible future member.

Good one Gents'

Staged at Oak grove Campground  lots of shade there and good spot to rest.

Real nice views on this ride. The sky was really blue. Was suprized how steep the side of the mountain was.   Enjoyed the little town of Anza down below to get drinks or burritos.

Obviously y'all have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to off bike camping.  Real impressed with how you guys pack it all on and still have room for beer.

Now wait a minute, I could swear Wierdrider had a big duffel bag, if he got all that stuff in those little bags I'm shopping wherever he shops.

My list is getting longer, I felt like I had WAY to much stuff, just not the cool stuff.

It was good to meet you guys, Charlie, John and Bob. Also, finally got to meet "the man, the myth, the legend" KKug of whom I've only seen the legendary photo of just about everywhere and that was awfully nice to bring up the camper and cook dinner for us and good seeing Jim and Darren again, Good ride guys.

So I’m having dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant, La Grange in Cholet France and I look over and there is the Kug staring at me from the bottom of a picture. The Kug is everywhere!

At first I thought you were referring to the dude with his hands on the teets, a typical Wisconsin (Kug?) thing, then I noticed the "Kug".

I might have to try one of these with a backpack on. Not sure how that might work.....

Bag selection seems like a good place to start. (refer to lesson 1).

Sandals seemed to be popular on the ride also.
