Bagstr 287 Posted August 22, 2018 Needed a Project this afternoon; so I pulled out this Gastester and followed instructions. Clip it to the truck 12vdc battery and let the unit stabilize in a clean breeze. Adjust to 2% Warm the bike up and take it for a spin to be certain it is fully warmed Insert metal sample tube into exhaust while at idle. Stabilizes reading in a minute or two. There is a 1 or 2 tenths wander. After you take several samples, you can see where average is. As you blip the throttle, it does richen mixture. This is just an example as it went up to 4.6% just off idle. Carburetors or Fuel Injection, the target is the same, This is just at idle, which is just one point on the whole range of RPMs, which the big machines can scan realtime. This simply shows a starting point at idle. As I said, Needed a Project. The 450 Xcw is loaded with the so called Euro Map. Good to know it is Not super rich. Exhaust is Dark Brown
