SoCalMule 106 Posted February 11, 2018 Greetings SDAR members! My name is Mark Paradise aka SoCalMule. I'm currently 58yo and have ridden/raced dirt for 51 years. I started out riding in Borrego on a Honda Mini-Trail CT-70 and then jumped to a Yamaha CT-1 175 Enduro (the gold one). Did a 20 year career in the US Coast Guard in Helicopter Search and Rescue. I've raced many years in AMA sanctioned Enduro events (SERA) riding an array of KTM two stroke EXC's and MXC's. I currently ride a KTM 450 EXC (so I can "hop roads" to get to the next trail with out getting a ticket). I live (full time) in Borrego Springs. I want to invite any riders (that are not squeamish of extreme heat) to take the occasional summer ride here in Borrego. A hot, but fun 1-2 hour ride (depending on OAT), which at the end we'll jump into my pool, cool off, and enjoy cold refreshments and lunch. I'm looking forward to meeting you all at events, rides, and trail preparation. So, I'm glad to be a member! Peace, Mark

My 450 exc is stock and it does well in the desert (yes even in summer . She likes to keep the air moving through the fins though, so don't let your bike idle in place too long.
