Nice pics Jim!

So Thump, which end of the earth you gonna start at?  You leaving from your pad or are you gonna

shuttle to a staging area?  I think you have 3 options.  Off banner, 79 and Mason or off S-2.   Check out Rodriguez too.

Sounds interesting...

i might be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but i thought there wasn't access to the top of mason/oriflamme from 79? also, i tried to access rodriguez tt off banner grade last sunday, and the gate was closed there too. i assumed the only way in/out was off s-2 down at the bottom. maybe someone here can edumacate me?

best regards,

johnnyg

The gate at Rodriguez is almost always closed, but i have never found it locked.

Mason TT entrance off of 79 has been locked since 2003 from what I can find.

The Rodreguez entrance has a gate - but can be opened.  Just make sure the gate is closed behind you.

Yup, always closed but never locked. It is a PUBLIC road. There are a couple land owners that like to make it LOOKED like it's a locked gate so that people that don't know better, are intimidated to enter and just go away. I have talked to the guy that owns the house and big property just passed the second gate a couple of times. He has always been polite and interesting to talk to. His father homesteaded the property many years ago.

As far is Mason Valley is concerned, we have an unwritten rule to not discuss it outside of the members only section.

Wasnt much trying. Its true im as slow as Kenny for  now.  You know how we always have to stop and  wait 5-10 minutes for Kenny to finally catch up.

He's trying to get his comebacks.

I can meet on s2 at Oriflamme Canyon tommirow morning.

Pm for times
