Pros & cons KTM 500 Xc-w lowering

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone I'm relatively a newer rider, well I should say I'm getting back into riding after a few years, I'm 5'8" 170 , I'll be doing trials, fireroads, Baja Trip's I've had KTM 525s 03 then an 06 and now 500 xc-w I've never had one lowered, I'm finding myself looking for the perfect spot to stop on trails, rides etc... hate that, i have a low seat it helped a little, anyway I'm rambling now,,,,any and all input is appreciated

Suspenders lowered the suspension on my 500 EXC . I do not have any complaints.

Welcome to the short leg club.

This is something I have also been meaning to do and I think well worth the expense.  You will compromise some ground clearance but compare that with how many times you have fallen over/dropped a bike trying to get a foot down at 0-1 miles per hour.  Also, if you are doing a BDR/camping on a small bike, it can also be tough getting your leg over on a fully loaded bike.
