After 3 rest day, s, I am back in the dust, rough and tough, hot and fast. I will stay here 2 days and have a HOSTEL in Alice spring. Had some dry river crossings and yes the roads in NT are hard on Bike and rider.

I have not seen any beer on the road, only at the campground, ice cold.

Today the bike got new shoes and a chainset. Good for the next 10000 km. Took me 1:45 with my own tools exept a grinder to cut the chain.

Hello I am here and doing fine. After riding the last Days from Alice Spring, only dirt via Finke, Mt. Dare, Dalehouse spring and Marree, I am finally in Lyndhurts. The track is almost like a FREEWAY, but for animals, not for the Bike. The road is following the old Ghan train tracks with all the old stations in good 2 bad condition. The most challenging section during this ride where from Finke to Hamilton Station.  Unmaintained, rough, sandy, river beds and big sharp rocky for many 100 KM. 5Km after Mt.Dare I final had to drop the bike for the first time. I just run out of power in a round marble riverbed with deep rolling marbles. Unload the bike get it up again and of the side and then following the cow tracks thru the bush with keeping an eye on the “road”. 10.000KM today

Here I am again, after spending 2 days in Akaroola resort I rode down to Angorichina Village where I spend 5-6 days with some ADV biker’s. No problems with the bike. A little windy last night that I had to tie down the tent with big rocks. After the meet I will go up north to Birdsville and then over to Brisbane. And here something for the OLD technology freak’s. Power plant from 1910: 27Liter 1 cylinder 4 stroke running with 410 RPM and making 65 KW on the ranch.

Its Monday here and Sunday at home.  Spend the last week in the Flinders range at the 14th 2017 Flinders Classic where ADV rider from all over OZ, NZ, Swiss, US and Germany meet for a week of riding the Range. Some 80 – 100 bikes and riders. First day we had some casualties and one guy broke his shoulder. I took it easy and stayed out of trouble. After the meet I will ride on Monday back north to Birdsville, Brisbane. Every one tells me to go to Cape York and then back down to Melbourne. Let see if I still will do this. Checking the map and weather, it is too early for going north with road closures and it is still raining out there. So Longreach and Mt. Isa is where I will shoot for. One town on the map “STONEHEDGE” is where we meet the Biker guys some years ago with the Exhaust header coffee maker. I found a nice water crossing and will try to cut the video.

Looks like you're having a great time. That's pretty cool meeting up with all those other riders.

Thanks for letting us ride along.

Rode 700Km+ dirt in the last 2days. Fantastic. Going north to longreach now and will spend a night there.

And an update from today:

Wat a ?????---- day today, 346 Km Bitumen (Bitchman, what they call it here) and has nothing to do with Bitsch and Man. I have seen at least 346 Roo’s and only one survivor. The old “Tourist Adventure trail” is converted into a “Touristic scenic drive” with all Bitumen. I don’t know what I should like most here. The smell of the Eucalyptus trees, (not smelling like Cold drops), the smell of the wild flowers or the sweet smell of the Sun backed Roo’s on the side of the road. My camera has now technical problems and I will take advantage of Steve’s Phone capacity.
