PastaPilot 17 Posted October 29, 2015 Appearantly so does Yamaha. As seen at the International Dirtbike Show at Stoneleigh Park in the UK.
dirt dame 554 Posted October 29, 2015 Well yes, but I also remember when WRs were Swedish Husqvarnas and then Italian Husqvarnas.
robertaccio 405 Posted November 4, 2015 66.4mm x 72mm = 249cc........nice thought is that the industry standard....OK KTM standard for its 300s is 72x72, so to make a 300 version of the YZ that fits into the 72x72 mold a simple rebore and plating job is needed. no need to play with the stroke. TrophyHunter 15 Posted November 5, 2015 Well yes, but I also remember when WRs were Swedish Husqvarnas and then Italian Husqvarnas. Yup. Had a WR400 for a bit. Also had an '83 IT490....before the WR switchover.
PbdBlue 46 Posted November 5, 2015 Had an IT490 also, Then a '88 YZ250 followed by a couple of 2 stroke WR's before moving on to a plethora of WR 4 strokes. That new 2 stroke WR would be enough to get me to jump back over to Yamaha again but I doubt we will see it in the US. Pity.Never was a big Husky fan. Couldn't get the hang of the left side kickstart.
