Yeti 0 Posted July 3, 2015 I can't believe no one has mentioned this (or, more likely, I missed it) a small container of Windex or tire lube. With rear tires, lube can make the difference between changing the tube and using zip ties to get home. DAMHIK I now always have that in my tool kit.
Bp619 104 Posted July 3, 2015 I either keep a small wd40 can for lubing stuff and tire installs or a small hand sanitizer bottle works great on tires as lube and a backup fire starter.
bikeslut 1 Posted July 3, 2015 I find water from the camelback, along with a little saliva for the final bead does the trick
tntmo 887 Posted July 3, 2015 All the sweat and blood it takes to get the tire off usually is good enough to lubricate the bead.
ThumperBob 21 Posted July 3, 2015 This time of year, you can wring out your sweaty socks on the bead.
