Still on the trails, but thought I'd offer a teaser or two as time/Internet allows.

Magruder Corridor

Nice fellas! Love that ride; been there many times... was the bear grass blooming?

Side note: If you get back and you're curious about the critters, fishes, and surviving a brutal winter in them parts I just finished a book called Indian Creek Chronicles: A Winter Alone in the Wilderness... great (true) story about a college kid volunteering for Fish & Game near the Magruder cabin over the winter in 1990.

Running Street Tires? On those gravel roads.

Yes, Mitas tires, yea a bit of a handful on the gravelly roads. But they have plenty of tread and I was too cheap to replace them prematurely. They'll serve me well getting back to the truck in the next few days.

Got up to 105degrees today.

Whew.

Glad to see a break in the Temps today. The crew deserves a Cool Cruise south. Enjoy the glide path.

I've never minded riding when it was hot before, but the ride from Boise to Elko at 105 degrees had me seriously considering just checking into a very cheap motel we passed that had a pool and just relaxing until dark then meeting up with the guys in Elko. We we lucky that the temps dropped a little and we got a little cloud cover soon after and the rest of the ride to Elko wasn't to bad.

Covered in Heat Exhaustion

Idaho has about a million streams and rivers. We took advantage of these a few times to cool off our toes and bodies.
