Sounds great, the food's the easy part, the tough part's going to be location. Grass and a park is ideal but Fiesta Island is always fun and lots of parking. I've seen many a party get out of hand there though, maybe it was just me. Tough call, tough call.

Ken...sounds good. Fiesta Island is easy....anyone know how crowded it is on weekends for parking ?

If its a park...maybe someone can make suggestions for a large area with not too crowded parking ?

I'm not familiar with parks since I hang by the beach.

Pot luck...everyone brings a dish to share...and their own meat ?

i was at Ski Beach yesterday with the family using our wave runner ... which is directly across from fiesta island ...

they have gondolas and shaded picnic tables and grass and swimming ...

we may as well bring the jet skiis out if yall are going to the bay.. theres a boat loading dock there also and lots of parking .

there was a motorcycle group getting together there on sunday at the west gondola .. it was nice to see all the older triumphs in the group. not too crowded there ...

With schools getting out this week for summer, weekends will be very crowded.

Personally, I don't do well in really crowded places and don't have much interest in hanging out with a million other people. But I understand this is a group and not everyone is going to agree. I'll go with the flow but I'd prefer riding to the top of Mnt. Laguna...Top of Black Mountain...Top of Palomar?

We could organize small groups rides from various parts of the county and all the groups could meet up.

Other ideas??

Black Mountain = Party point Ramona...

Palomar truck trail, I am total open and will consider a over night stay.

Its just not so easy to get a BBQ up there. That is more on the Fiesta island with a fire pit.

I do once a Year a BBQ at the Barona Race track. Its just that it cost $ 10 bucks.

Fiesta Island

minus -No Alcohol allowed, stinky water if you go in .Closes at 10 PM

pluses - Open area reminds me of camping in Baja ,Superstition,O Wells,Nevada ,Idaho,Utah ect.

fire pits, large area to park Motorhomes,Toy Boxes ,Campers, Hint !

Plenty of space to walk, walk dogs, take the girl for a walk, walk to pee,!

Plenty of space to set up BBQ,s tables, Horse shoes, ect. Parking

If a core group gets their early can snag a good spot.

Anyone want to add any thing.?

Barona Interesting ?

Barona: I normal go there around 2 PM and reserve a spot behind the grand stand and near the Track exit. Set up my easy up, truck, BBQ and hang up a large banner to mark the spot.

I did not know that alcohol was prohibited on fiesta island. What about the over the line they always have alcohol? Not that alcohol is a must, but hanging out drinking a cold beer would be nice.
