kkug 146 Posted November 17, 2014 I think they close Grand Canyon North Rim for the winter months. I camped out by the entrance one time in October and froze --my extra water too.
Crawdaddy 96 Posted November 17, 2014 Pretty damn cold at the higher elevations. Bar 10 is closed until the end of February/early March depending on weather.....
dsfox 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Tim, I was tentatively planning a trip there even in mid October, and told weather could be "iffy". most roads down there are impassable when any precipitation gets on them. I have a friend and local rider in st. George, she knows the area very well, if you'd like to talk with her....call me, I'll give you her number.....deb
Goofy Footer 539 Posted December 21, 2014 Thanks for the info guys! I'm also following this thread on ADV - it's like the guy read my mind. I might have some free time coming up and I'm probably dumb enough to try! http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1030958
