Golden tire Gt216AA

Recommended Posts

Thanks for coupon code bought another tire for my ktm

Yup.

Got me one too.

Can I have the umbrella chix with the advanced degrees? I'm fond of the intellectuals. Masters of Fine Art is ok, too.

PMB we did the World superbike event at Miller Motorsports Utah, we got umbrella girls.com for the Suzuki team to hire for the models, 1 model was first or second violin in the salt lake city symphony with a degree in music, the other was working on her masters at one of the universities is in SLC. neither one was a pole dancer....not that there's anything wrong with that either.

If you go to the SLC symphony you may see the young lady on the right.

my GT216AA has lasted since the beginning of Dec 2014*. It is now ready to be changed, its starting to throw side knobs now. 4 months is super long for me. These things last. Another benefit of the fat size is stability, for some would say slow steering....it calms the front (I don't use a stabilizer) . Also for those with difficulty in soft sand...this thing stays on top and remains stable.

Yes as stated above its width pushes it into the side walls of ruts and will climb the sides giving that weird "I'm caught feeling" at times, you just need to be aggressive on the bars and keep it in line.

* installed for couple rides before the Tecate Enduro to get used to it. Went to Graham Jarvis class, It took me through another race the Puerta MX GNCC style event and at least 4 different Tecate trail rides along with local PV and Lark rides. This thing is legit. So 2 hardcore races and a bunch of hardcore trail rides along with a couple mellow trail rides, in dry, moist and even mud conditions.

My second fat tire will finally be arriving tomorrow after almost 2 month wait. Now I have to decide whether to install the Tubliss that's been sitting around or get a mousse.

The tubliss is already paid for and here so...

Blake, go with the tubliss because I need you to become an expert at installing the tubliss system so I can come over and drink all your beer and watch you do all the work to convert my bike(s). Thanks/cheers in advance!

Paul just rode with new motoz hybrid around pine valley down Kernan and back did really well great combo with gt216aa front, guys with tube do not go down to 13 psi or lower in front rolls bad and not confidence inspiring especially since I'm fat and 4 gallon tank. The rear started little high at 12 and was sliding little around soft corners would be good dual sport pressure up to like 14. With 9 psi didn't want to go too low by myself, up Kernan pulled really well and no slipping at all not as great as Mt43 but in corners and softer stuff felt way better than mt43. Gonna use 6-8 for mccain.

P.s. no comments on fork guards I already have black ones on order.

1495 miles with about 300 of it on street and going strong cant say enough how good this tire is. Some side knobs are starting to rip off but still ok. pulling out of ruts is getting a little better or I'm getting use to it.

Ive had mine for over a month. Today is the day to finally mount it. With a new m16 mousse of course. Stuffing is necessary with the gt216aa.

I read somewhere that you can run really low psi on this tire, which means stiff sidewall, right? How difficult are trail side flat repairs with this tire?

GT mounted. Smashed some curbs in the hood. It feels more plush than your standard size tyre. Not mushy just plush. We'll see how it goes tomorrow morning at McCain. Maybe it will help me keep up with Blake.

Never repaired mine i dont remember it being a pain to install just normal tire. I have smashed my front end on some rocks and other edges at speeds 40+ and swore it would pinch flat or do damage and all good.

Finally taking the golden off 1875 hard miles. Half of the side knobs are either ripped off or almost torn off. If i was doing more dualsport miles or desert i would probably keep on for another 300 or so but doing more single track and no cornering confidence. Really liked the tire just put on a pirelli xcmh i cheaped out. Still never really got use to riding in ruts with the golden even worn would just rip you out of a tight rut.
