Miriam, if your set on a long ride, I'll meet you in east Alpine and we can take some back roads / 2 track trails out to McCain to say Hi and check it out. Nice flat dry lake beds, sand, hills, rocks, etc. Then, set up the tent, have a cold beer and a hot dog cooked on the fire and relax. Looking forward to it!
