23AUG2014 Local east county ride

Recommended Posts

started ride with 3 (1sdar rev5+me and beta france guy)continued and finished with 2 riders (beta and Husky 300s), another loooong range ride........@ 25 miles....wow!! testing in the midst of a trail ride/race fuel mileage check, 45 miles and just hit Res.

also testing Suspension101 4CS Forks, still need some serious clicker play, 10cc oil per leg seems to have eliminated hard bottoming.. still dusty and dry, dry to the point of lurid front wheel push slides with almost to locks bar twists. the usual no traction stuff we deal with........was not on A game for lack of 8 hr of sleep, 7 is minimum for me and I was @ 6-6.5 and even while running on RynoPower go juice + endurance and energy supps my balance was off.

In addition my mousses are hammered and I was feeling some rim hits, tires look like @ 5psi-maybe 8, running FIM/DOT enduro legal pirelli scorp pro fim meats the E2 standard 90/90/21 scalpel with the 140/80-18 balloon out back with michelin mousses, rear with rim lock and balance weights (100g opposite of rim lock!!) front with no rim lock. trails have not changed much, did note a few washed out spots from the rain a few weeks back. that place is always fun.(Lark). be safe out there and have fun

JD Jetting seems to be spot on (if not a wee bit safe/rich but dry with zero spooge.

I rode my buddies 500xcw last week with roached mousse is front. Front end felt very unpredictable. Like a normal tire with 5lbs of pressure. Wanted to knife in a lot. I bet when mouses are bad the tire folds like u have a flat as soon as u lean the bike over. Felt just like that He's getting new mouses and tire on front soon so we're leaving suspension alone until we can get an honest assessment.
