I rode this the last time it was Wickenburg. It's a great ride. Well run. When I rode it the weather ranged from mid 70's to ,falling snow up by Crown King so be prepared for varying conditions. Neat area.

Me and a couple of buddy's are likely "in" for this one. Just booked a couple of rooms at the Super 8 as the lodging fills up fast. I rode this event in 2011 and it is was a blast. Last 5 miles of Saturday was nasty sand. Sweep crew was busy in that section! Allegedly this year there's an alternate exit.

Chris Ross (Dress4less) and I are "in" with room booked in Wickenburg Friday and Sat nights. Quite likely we'll head to Bullhead City on Thursday night. Ride in Bullhead area Friday. Then clean up and head for Wickenburg Friday night. Head straight home from Wickenburg Sunday afternoon. I can put a few guys up at my place in Bullhead on Thursday night if anyone wants to ride some of the Bullhead area stuff with us on Friday. (Bring a bed roll/sleeping bag because Dress4Comfort has already snagged the guest room.)

I spoke with Don Hood from Arizona Trailriders yesterday. He mentioned to me that on some past rides they have had some snow on the first loop going to and from the lunch/gas stop. Yeehaw! :crying_anim02:

I rode it that year. Snow on the way to Crown King. It's a great ride. The hard ways were challenging but nothing ridiculous. They were sweeping late in the evening that year getting everyone in. About 5 miles of nasty sand at the end of day 1 that claimed quite a few victims but it sounds like they have eliminated that section this go around. Love to do it again this year but not in the cards just yet.

:good: See ya next Thursday....

I need to decide if I'm taking the 300 or the 350 :bigeyed: .....leaning towards "The Smoker" since the fuel range for the Wickenburg ride is ~75 miles......
