I don't really care either way. I will not comment on the whole drug testing thing as I would only be speculating as is everyone else. bikeslut 1 Posted June 22, 2014 Did a little googlesnooping, and it may be inaccurate, but it does say Adderall is a commonly prescribed drug that results in amphetamine results...among the "benefits" of amphetamine use: increased energy, increased focus, increased motivation....effects start within 15 minutes, peak around 2 - 3 hours after dosing, and fade off after that....jeez...sounds like a great help in certain sports, doesn't it? Villopoto did get surgery after the SX season ended so his injury wasn't a lie. I could see him rehabbing this summer and come out swinging for SX 2015 which according to the moto podcasts, will likely be his last season. Him taking a leave from racing MX has no bearing on whether or not he would be suspeneded by FIM for SX if he had in fact tested positive in supercross. They are two different sanctioning bodies with two different drug testing agencies. To your point and isde97's post above - SX is definitely a talent based sport. JS7 has unbelievable talent. MX has more fitness/endurance involved but if you've ever seen SX live, holy crap those guys are talented! PEDs won't make them any more talented. I DO think when everybody is fairly well matched, tiny differences pay off big...the top guys would still be the top guys. as for Lance Armstrong...I do believe he doped. Goofy Footer 539 Posted June 23, 2014 There was speculation/hope that 2014 would be JS7's year to attend the Motocross Des Nations, where country specific teams from across the globe (well Europe, North America & Australia) compete for national pride. Goofy Footer 539 Posted July 30, 2014 Rumors are circulating that JS7 may have been receiving IVs during the races. IVs between motos are illegal in motocross. According to the PulpMX Show and this webpage (which may or may not be that reliable), a lady who lost her hard card pit credential approached race officials at the Spring Creek National in Milleville, Minnesota and asked for permission to enter the pits (sans credential). She told officials that she was James Stewart's nurse and was there to give him his IV. The Astrerisk Medical truck has IVs for riders if they want/need one after the race. IVs are legal to rehydrate at the completion of the day's events but they are very much illegal between motos. James quickly pulled out of the 2nd moto saying that he was feeling dizzy (an IV can help with dizziness from hydration). He did no media at Millville and did not race this past weekend at Washougal. Suspenders 43 Posted July 31, 2014 While at Washougal last week meeting with a couple of race teams it came up. It is not confirmed as fact but this is the stink. James has injuries apparently from concussions. One of the side effects of the drug is extreme dehydration. A nurse did show up at the gate to administer an IV to James Stewart due to dehydration. If what Suspenders says about JS7's consussions, that is big news for motocross fans and off-road motorcyclists as a whole. The NFL is currently dealing with fallout from concussion and brain trauma injuries. I personally know of a few riders on this site who have "knocked themselves out cold" while riding. It's easy to focus on torn knees and broken wrists while often overlooking brain safety. How many riders here have continued to ride when they were dazed from a crash? No doubt Stewart has hit the ground hard an innumerable amount of times. If concussions are the beginning of the end for one of the sports brightest and best riders, that would be a great shame (yet ultimately bring lots of attention / focus / research for helmet safety.
