Throw in some moisture from damp Monterey and that dust turns to concrete!

I have used these on drop hunts (not this brand, but same idea). Better than nothing, but still on the ground... Super small and light though.

I've bought two of their seats before for my KLR and DR and you are correct sir - however I tell myself that I should not be sitting when riding the Husky biggrin.gif

Wound up buying the REI Flex-Lite: http://www.rei.com/product/829239/rei-flex-lite-chair,-olive-oil?preferredSku=8292390002&cm_mmc=cse_froogle-_-pla-_-product-_-8292390002&mr:referralID=f141765c-a7bc-11e2-9389-001b2166c62d

And another compression bag, straping (to hold my tent to the Coyote Bag), mesquito wipes, etc, etc.....

Bumping this as an FYI to anyone looking for an awesome camping chair. I have 2 Helinox chairs and they're sweet. I got an email from campsaver today that they're having a 1 day half off sale. $49.97 for a Helinox in red or green. Packs down tiny and is pretty comfy around the fire.

Thx Tim..! Got 2 for Christmas - son & his wife. They've been outfitting their Jeep so these'll be a good add.

Also did some camp food stock up.

Thanks Tim, My last campout off my bike with Wildwood on Santa Rosa Mountain had me sitting on the ground next to a lantern for an hour and hell, it took me 10 minutes to stand up, with that chair, I can cut it down to five minutes being half way up :)

I've had mine a few years and it's still in great shape. Not sure how long one will last with weekly use, but if you don't mistreat one I'd think it would last.

I have the ALITE Butterfly. It's not that bad. Pretty comfy actually. It's fun to get your friends drunk then try to have them sit in it. I like it because you can sit in a tent with it. It has wide rounded feet so it won't punch holes in your tent either.

But I have seriously considered the Helinox as I have test sat a few of those and really like them as well. Could probably add some larger rubber feet from the hardware store so I could still use it in the tent :)

Not available in the US yet, but I thought this was pretty cool. No compressor needed...skip to the 20 second mark...

There's also a larger version for laying down...

So simple it's brilliant! :smile_anim:
