I think one of the the things I most enjoy about our annual club ride is the sense of family/camaraderie amongst the usual set of volunteers/participants.......I feel lucky to have so many moto friends/acquaintances........

This year was no exception........the weather gods cooperated with mid week rain/snow that minimized dust and the weather couldn't have been much better........bright sunshine/temps in 60's/70's

I downloaded GPS tracks Friday night and Sat/Sun morning then fiddled around......

Sat I went on Burger n Brew ride with Strega, Bike Slut, the "Creativist", Bagstr, Tracy, & Mad Dog Mike..........only snapped one pic.......had to be quick before Bowers blocked my bike with his Great White ADV bike....

IMAG1573-1_zps462cad1f.jpg

Today I rode with Tracy and DSFox after a scrumptious breakfast

Snapped a pic of Deb riding up Jasper:

IMAG1575_zpsc03df674.jpg

Lunch at Christmas Circle with ~100 like minded Dual Sport riders:

IMAG1578_zps42cde36d.jpg

The colors will be popping in the desert in a month.......snagged this shot of Deb and Tracy earlier today:

Hope to see many of you same knuckleheads at the CORE 4 Kids Fundraiser next month......

Cristina and I had lots of fun, great food, and a lot more.THANK'S EVERYONE!!

I had an AWESOME ride Saturday, the trails were in great condition, beautiful scenery.

This is the one ride a year that I do, where you can challenge yourself navigating a course.

I rode a little slower than I like, but after last weeks crash,I was a little scared unsure.gif

I only missed a few turns this year, (Thank's Crawdad and Sandiegoland) for setting me up with the GPS.

The rain made things lots of fun (snow, mud, ice and a few big puddles) NO DUST.

I took one pic of my SCOREBOARD here.

Not bad for a fat old man on a worn out XR 650L.

I didn't ride alone, I was with an old friend Ben Taylor all day.friends.gif

SEE ya next year.

Craig.

Good times as usual!

We were able to lock in the front house again as we have for the past few years. This time the weather was excellent! Lots of laughs around the camp fire every night! Locked up the house for next year as well so stop by for a beer and laughs next year.

On to some pics....Not too many incriminating pics this year. The group this year must have been ready for action or were fast picking up their bikes. :heh:

Started off on Saturday riding Pinyon Mountain....

Tim WALKING down Jeep Squeeze

I'd be interested in seeing bike demographics by manufacturer. Percentage of KTM, Honda, etc.

Daniel found out the jumping cholla had been sharing its techniques with the other flora in the area.

So....this was my first real crash on the bike(only been riding 1.5 months). Apparently I was a bit too calm when Wintyfresh came back after I called on the radio. Just a bit sore in general today but had a blast. Can't wait till next year!

If I had to guess, KTMs were a good precentage of bikes- I didn't see any GS1200s this year, but there might have been some-

Bikes ranged from 230Ls up to a Ural sidecar rig and everything in between- lots of DRZs, XR650s in both flavors, DR650s, KLRs, Huskies, etc

3 Honda

4 Husky

2 Suzuki

and about 20 KTM

Before the lunch stop at 9:40am.

Then it was clear sailing.

Nearly all "small" bikes.

Well...big bikes aren't meant for desert conditions

Normally I would apologize for posting a sideways picture

Jeeze. I kicked ass all over the desert. Ripped up big sand traps, hopped over rocky sections, kept a lively pace the entire day with all the baby bikes.

And did anyone post a cool pic of any of that?

Oh, nooooooo.

Just the one little bobble.

No respect. Maybe Tracy will post something nice.
