Others with non-plated may park at the Info Sign inside Painted Gorge. I am shooting for the intersection of Painted Gorge and Evan Hughes @ 0830 and departing for the Info Sign by 0900. Everyone plan on leaving the Info Sign by 0930 for the Mountain. I will check in later this PM to see if we can streamline this event. From the sign in Painted Gorge how do I proceed/connect to the Switchback Climb? Plus, does this enter the Bombing Range to make the connection? If so, I will take this discussion offline. Thinking about Thursday if I can get a riding buddy. My number is in the Members Section
  9. Hi Kyle, good to hear from you. As you are thinking, Carrizo Pk won't take all day. ( See I learned something from all this planning ) Coyote Peak is the taller peak farther south. Some may head to Superstition, some find their way over to Dos Cabezas and Volcanic Hills. We can chat about our options at the Top! Me, I will be bringing a full tank of fuel. That plus water and tools. There are two Rumors floating around: One; that the switchbacks are Tight. Two; that there are rocks up there! All you guys using the 250's, ain't that cheating?

  12. Below is the email I sent to Trail Tech which pretty well sums up the issue. Anyone have any thoughts on a diagnosis. Seems early for the lamps to fail. The wiring change would seem to not change available voltage from what it would be from the switch normally. Trail Tech Online Support refers to voltage regulator problems, saying voltage should not be higher than 12.0 Vdc. Dave Tech Support, Good day. Well I have a KTM 690R with the above Offroad Halogens installed since July 2010. Used approximately 125hrs. Both lamps out. Over the last few weeks I noticed one then both of the lamps have gone out. With a Multi-Meter I have checked voltage from the lighting harness. Ignition On motor off = 12.4 Vdc. Motor running 14.3 Vdc. Inside the shell with lamp removed, the leads read the same 12.4 and 14.3 Vdc. Both lamps read open on 2k continuity scale. Stock KTM incandescent lamp works high and low beam. Note: In Sept I modified the leads to back of the unit after to white moldex plug. The low beam red was cut and isolated on the bike side and the red soldered to the high beam yellow. Allowing for an Off / On operation. Read Tech Support note re voltage regulator, What do you think I should do to fix the issue. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  13. Josh, Welcome back! I have no idea of the legal boundaries. That's why I ride a Plated Bike. What's wrong with the 450?
  14. "Monday?" Fine with me, anyone else have an opinion?
  15. Please see Rescheduled Post #1 We will do it after Christmas
  16. Martog and PapaAlex showed up Saturday AM and we proceeded on a clockwise excursion that held our attention. Spaugh had some lame excuse involving a Christmas Party, 1:30AM and a bad rear brake. Where is your dedication! Always fun to find a new route. The water has always stopped me in the past, but we made it east then north. Martog Alex I really don't weigh 240lbs The sky eventually turned hazy and we set a pace to head down to Jojoba Wash. We did luck out and cross paths with Hoss314 and Trophy in Arroyo Seco del Diablo. Nice to see you gents.
  17. "The overlook right?" Josh Yes, that is the Overlooked I've riden. But there certainly is No Direct Way from the Ooverlook to the Switchbacks you have done. Hope you can make the ride.
  18. Hi gang. See Post #1 for Update
  19. And Randy, what are you doing Thursday?
  20. As a matter of fact, yes I do.
  21. So, I have it on good authority the 690 may not be the best choice for this attack. I may pass on the summit..as said before, been to the South Summit. There is plenty to challenge me on other routes. Thanks for the feedback
  22. Martog, Papalex and Bagstr were travelling up-wash about 1300hrs, Sorry we didn't stop as we were on a tight leash Saturday. Could have been our group. I think we only passed one group at that point and if you are not on a bike, you are classified as an "Other", you know out of tribe alien.
  23. Mike, haven't you seen the latest Edit?? Hobie? I didn't see him out there...
  24. Hope you make it, Just now leaving La Mesa. Dave
