After superstition we headed for lunch. Good grub, good company. We then split ways as Hondapilot wanted to explore some trails. DirtDame went for gas, we took a chance. Hondapilot finds us one heck of a wash. For every bolder garden we negotiate, we get rewarded with 50 yards of DEEP wheel spining sand. Over and over again. That wore me out. Finally hit the S2 to Canyon Si Nombre. Road the trails back until it dumped us back on the S2. By this time I had already gone on reserve. Ran out of gas and did the tip. Made it back around 5. We did 129 miles on the day. 25 street, the rest wrestling in the sand. It was a very fast paced ride. I think Hondapilot might of been trying to leave us out there. I kept up just for self preservation. It was nice meeting you Dirtdame. We will do it again. Thanks Hondapilot for navigating. I had a fantastic time.

How warn is this tire? Could I get more desert out of it? Just curious as I am working on it.

I do have another ready. I had to take it off another rim set up. That tire needs new bearings. Easier(for me) to change the tires than the bearing. I took the tire off, but after reading HP is a lazy ass, I figured I could be too.

It has started to rain on North county coastal. I believe they are saying it will be a big rain tonight, then rain again in the PM tomorrow. We may be hitting this perfect.

No I do not call them good. If you have good mt21, that was going to be the tire I tried next. Scorpion. Isnt that a street tire? Have you give up the off road? ONE MORE TIME! I guess we will both be on baldi's. I figure I can swerve a lot since I do have traction on the sides.

I dont know what the weather is going to be like. Not looking to ride in big rain. I believe they are saying the real rain will fall Fri-Sat. Conditions might be perfect on Thurs. I am sore, so dont expect a race ready bum. I would love to go for the all day cruise though. I will put a new tire on. The old one is spent.

Spaugh doing some hill climbs after lunch. Spaugh I think we got back a lot earlier than planned. Next time will have to make it longer. Maybe do the whoops first. I have to say that I am sore today. The flat tire(beer) after the ride must of masked the pain.

Yes today was a nice ride. Thank you spaugh for leading the tour. Very well paced. Not a lot of "lollygaggin" as he said. Was nice to see surprise guest Pyro ride in. Got to see some new trails. We ended up doing about 80 miles on the day. I did try to take pictures. I will figure that out tomorrow. Good meeting you spaugh. Always a pleasure pryo.

Anybody going out on Sunday. I know the big game is on sunday, but I need to ride more than watch football. Looking to get in the dirt and ride.

Big Bear Trail Riders is putting on this ride. Does anyone know anything about this ride, done it before?

Baja 1000 is what the R was designed for. Durability is better than other bikes, but not as durable as the L(but nothing is). I dont think you can go wrong with the R, but overheating is an issue which can be overcome with some mods. The L is for big people. Just remember "L" is for Legend, and "R" is for retired!
