    Radios to Sena hookup

Yeh that will be sweet. I don’t mind keying the mic as much as I hate trying to hear/understand what was said.

    Big bike capabilities

Everyone tends to have their own ideas about what makes a good bike. Our perceptions about what's the right machine for "us" are extremely individualized and almost always shaped by our enthusiasm for a brand, a slogan, a personality, style, etc. I loved this video. Yes, it shows a lot of fast, capable riding on the type of trails that I gravitate to. But Arie talks a bit about the capabilities of the bike and what it offers. He makes some great comments at around 24 mins in, and also at the closing ceremony. No glorification of the brand. No whining about weight or suspension or <insert complaint here>. Just 5 awesome days wailing on a great machine and enjoying the camaraderie on the trail and terrain. Good stuff. Enjoy.

I don’t know. But a friend of mine saw this bike get pulled down, started up and rode out like it was nothing.

    Big bike capabilities

I’m 100% with you on that. However the point being the bike is 100% capable of being ridden aggressively on ADV bike trails. It’s what you want it to be. It clearly impressed Adam. And he’s quite the skilled rider.
  5. That’s what I’m talking about!
  6. I 'spose he could just run along beside me in case it dies since it's a trials bike.
  7. I’m pretty soft though. I was gonna ask if you could Gerry-rig an E-start on my trials bike.
  8. Stay tuned for Goofy’s next video,… Electric vs Kick Start: Kick again?
  9. While you're out there having fun.... you may want to jump south of the freeway again and ride this. Valley of the moon loop- Lvl3-2.gpx You'll want to be comfortable lofting the front up some ledges and riding sand. I must confess I haven't ridden this whole loop as my posse wasn't feeling it that day, and I'm a stay with the group kind of guy.
  10. yeh, the link works for me. Someone confirm please that you can see the track from the link above. This was the track as I remember it. Where it dumps out to the 8 was where we got off. Continuing on in a clockwise direction is much more difficult.
  11. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42373312 I'm trying out a new to me mapping site. We'll see if this route shows up for y'all.
  12. Do not continue here unless you have hard enduro skills. Dropped pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/uVDUv81D936BkJdw6?g_st=ic
  13. Start here and go north under the freeway Dropped pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/V5xpM2dGmuNuWyTp8?g_st=ic proceed to here and jump around the guardrail onto 8west. Dropped pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/kcq86ysgLxp8tGhX9?g_st=ic that is a clockwise loop with the highway being a “safe” exit point. If you are feeling spunky on your skinny bike, you can skip the exit and continue clockwise back up the hills. Note: not recommended for big bikes. Not recommended for solo travel. I doubt you’ll see other riders so be able to self rescue. Confirm your Aflac accident policy is paid up. Turn on your inReach before starting. Carry extra food and water, and parts if you’re on a KTM (LOL), or just take @tntmo with you. ‘nother Note: I’m not wearing my glasses so kind of think those two pins are about right. You’re on your own to verify (maniacal laugh!). Pics or it didn’t happen!
  14. Ouch! Glad you got it sorted, and sounds like the rescue was easy enough.
  15. I think that was a ride I put together for Meetup. The wash at the bottom was super fluffy. I dug a lot of bikes out that day.
  16. And I thought Rodriguez was a lot easier than Mtn Springs. But I ride Rodriguez regularly and have only done Stagecoach once.
  17. That’s an awesome trail and I love the Table mountain area. If you have the basic tenants of riding down it’s not that hard. Basics being slow speed balance, clutch, throttle and brake. Level 2-3 on the Zubb-big-bike scale. There’s one particular hill climb in the table mountain area that turned me back I’ve got my eye on. Eventually I’ll get back there with a couple Trophy friends who are the best hill climbers I’ve ever seen and see if we can whip it. hope you guys take some pics for us today!
  18. That bike is prettydamgoodlookin too. Great pic.
  19. I love that trail! Would have been super fun to ride it like that. We had quite a number of washes broke out and ran down the road like this in Baja last week.

Also note Voile come in both the plastic and the metal buckle. I’ve used both without fail but will only order metal in the future for Moto and reserve plastic for skiing. I suspect Mosko straps are made by Voile as I can’t tell any difference outside of the pretty blue color. Their wider black ones are considerably tougher and less stretchy.

https://greenchileadv.com/collections/gcag-products/products/gcag-mondo-straps-kit These are the most bomber straps I’ve ever used. I replaced my wonderful Rock straps with these as they stretch to a point and then become rigid in length allowing one to really crank down whatever you’re strapping. Metal cam buckles for the win. I need to reorder as I lost part of them to another bike rescue a couple weeks ago.

Voile are bombproof. I’ve used them moto and skiing for couple decades. Never seen one fail yet. Buy 2 in each length and be done with it. Then you can manage just about any reasonable length by latching sizes together. I also carry a set of 2 Green Chili straps as the ultimate bomber straps. Have even strapped Moto’s into pickups with them. Primary used for strapping broken luggage and “chit” onto racks and plates. link to follow……

Mini update. 10 days in baja with my system as stated above (much like Shutterrevs). It is perfect for adventure travel from wind rain and snow travel to 80* sand dune battles. I met up with 3 expert level GS competitors yesterday for an hour in Yuma and realized all 4 of us were wearing Marrikesh.
