we saw you go by, My daughter thought your bike was pretty neat. we wound up riding Corral Canyon did a couple trails #1 to lower campsite, then the long way up to the radio towers, then along Los Pinos where the KTM 950 broke down..... Battery was Dead. Had to drive my truck back there to rescue it. came back to PV for Burgers before heading home.

Ok, Which one of you put SDAV post cards on my truck in Pine Valley? I was gone for 10 minutes Was parked behind the Frosty burger with four bikes ( two on a trailer) I don't mind, I was just curious.

Any suggestions on the best pegs to replace my stock ones? I do like the idea of the rubber on top, but not a deal breaker

ratz started following KLR650 Pegs?

I watched the video, and the macho "man" in me wants to go back with a spotter, and conquer that thing. -
https://youtu.be/8mSEZBw1o2k Took the KLR 650 up to Pine Valley, then to 4 corners/ bronco peak. Took Trail #1 and forgot to turn onto trail #2. This bike is very street, Shinko tires, and i ran into a point (riding by myself) where i didn't feel comfortable attempting it. Next time someone will go with me..... always looking

Kinda scouting around. Going by myself, and I don't like to do that. If you want to go, I am hauling the bike(KLR650) to Ramona, unloading, and riding up Black Canyon to Mesa Grande, Then Warner Springs, Do some trails, heading back. Let me know. -
We showed up about 12pm dirt was by now,... forgiving. still slid around in the snow. Daughter on the CRf250, Dad on KX450f.

Still trying to get mine. Had my KLR650 loaded, and headed out to my spot. If you see a KLR with hunting gear, that's me! I stopped next to a DR650 in Ramona yesterday.

Try these guys, At NPA, we use them all the time, they are trusted, and reasonable. I would go with Naber trucking. he could probably do it for about $100 - $150 each ACA States Serviced: NV, UT, WY, CO, NM, TX, AZ, SD, NE Tel: 888.884.3886 max@acatransport.com K & W Transport States Serviced: AZ, NM, TX, OK, MO, AR, LA, TN, KY, MS, OH, GA Tel: 940.902.1227 Tel: 972.983.3337 k-wtransport@hotmail.com Naber Trucking States Serviced: CA, NV, AZ Tel: 951.830.0338 Tel: 909.947.6139 nabertrucking@aol.com

Ramona Trails - 8/17 8:00
ratz replied to BillP's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
What a fun, quick ride this morning. I wasn't expecting to ride as fast as we did. It was nice to have the pace pushed ( even though i was in the back most of the time). The KLR, on the other hand, told me she needed some new tires, stiffer suspension, and it needs some fasteners tightened. Thanks for posting the ride. -
The bike styling is a nice change from Strom's past. It would look more versatile, with more ground clearance, as you said. I think if you have some good riding skills, you can overcome many obstacles.

A trip up to Glacier National Park
ratz replied to Riggerdan's topic in 4 Days & Longer Trip Write-Ups and Photos
Great adventureI was up til midnight last night going through it, I just couldn't stop. Things I thought of: You looked like you were traveling pretty light ( amazed that you always seemed to have enough supplies) Rear tire looks like it could have been swapped during the trip( did you ever consider it, did you have any mechanicals) You traveled alone! for safety sake would you consider this unadvisable? did you also get lonely? Did you check in with anyone to advise your whereabouts? Time spent in Hotels? I am curious how you decided your route, and would love to see a large US map redlined with your route. Ultimately I was very impressed with your photos, write up, guts!, and fishing ability..... Well Done! -
The Soumy MX Tourer Helmet is the lightest helmet i have ever donned. Using a Kevlar/fiberglass compound for a strong, lightweight shell, the MX Tourer weighs in at a feather-like 3 pounds, 1.1 ounces—one of the lightest full-face helmets we have ever tested.

Where was it taken from? I see tracks everywhere I ride. I have seen deer carcasses everywhere I hike. I found a stattistic from DFW, and it states that >50% of the deer killed in Caalifornia are killed by Mtn. Lion. > 20% by coyote, and Bobcat > auto accidents, desease, starvation, make up the bulk of the rest. Where there is one cat there are more.
