I speak for experience too. I shattered my foot 12 years ago riding mx at Perris raceway. It's completely fused together now and I have no lateral movement. That was my fourth motorcycle related surgery. After each one I considered hanging it up. Then I realized riding was too important to me. Living a full life is too important to me...and riding fills many of the gaps. Bruce Lee once said "the key to immortality is first to live a memorable life". I say don't give up on it, just adjust a bit if necessary.

The "multi quote" and "quote" options are not working for me. When I click on either, it takes me to reply to topic, but it doesn't bring the post I'm trying to tag into my new response box.

I decided to pass once I read that you still need spoons/irons to take the tire off. I'm good with tire spoons/irons and I don't have a desire to carry extra stuff with me, so I really have no use for this after all.

I almost bought one on the adv group buy but just couldn't fork out the triple digit price. At $69 I don't think I can pass it up. Thanks for the lead.

Thanks buddy, I needed that. And I know what you are saying about the heated grips...I installed some a few weeks ago. I think I've used them every ride since.

I don't think so. It all has to do with the VIN assigned to your bike. You can blame it on California EPA BS.

TVScum, yes, there is a gate at both ends actually... Yesterday, after I discovered everything closed off Pamo, I took Black Canyon from the west end (Magnolia) over to check the east end of SYTT and it was closed as well.

We got about 1/4 of rain here in Ramona last night, which usually makes for epic trail conditions in the area. I set out this morning to check on the local conditions because several members were posting about coming up this weekend. Unfortunately, everything (Orosco, Lusardi, and SYTT) off Pamo Rd. is closed right now. And I doubt it will be open this weekend as a much larger storm is expected to bring more rain starting tonight....Just an FYI if you were thinking about hitting the area this weekend.

Best bet is going to be the desert this weekend for sure
