I have one just like the Inova above. It does the job, and as you can see, at a much lower price. I've used it on everything from my car, bikes, and tractor...works perfect.

North County Ride Monday 10/6
Oracle replied to wcgiv's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Your welcome, glad ya'll had a good time. As far as bikes selection....there is no ideal bike...just forget trying. I've always said I need at least 5 bikes just to cover the basics. A Harley, an Adventure bike, a dual sport bike, a sport bike, and an mx/desert bike.... -
As you assumed, they apply to what is off the road, not the road itself. As you go up hill, most of what is off to the left is Indian reservation property. Off to the right, and towards the top, there are patches of private property sporadically along the road.

North County Ride Monday 10/6
Oracle replied to wcgiv's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Yes it does! You can also make a right at the intersection and go to the top of the mountain to check out the fire look out tower. Highpoint is a bit tougher than Palomar Divide, especially going up hill. Have fun! -
3 days in Baja: Big Bikes on Small Trails
Oracle replied to dylanewilliams's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
Thanks for sharing...It's cool to see guys mobbin' it on big bikes -
I have never owned one, but I've ridden a couple of them. They are bad ass bikes, especially if you plan on slabbin' 90% of the time. They handle very well on the road and are Yamaha reliable. At one time, it was my ultimate adventure bike. But that was before I knew any better and before I rode a KTM Adventure. My needs are different...I'm 50/50 or better dirt. 80-90% slab, I say it's a good choice. 20% or more off-road, I would consider nothing less than the ultimate off-road big bike....IMHO.

x2. They have a good rep and people actually come from all over the country to buy from them. RJ is the owner and Trevor is the main sales person.

Wish I could join but I have to work. BTW, there is a lot of dirt between Ramona and Pine Valley that you will miss if you slab up to Laguna. If you want some recommendations, let me know. -
Welcome to the boards and the group. Great guys here!

x2. He's been a contributing writing to S&S Offroad magazine for as long as I can remember. While I haven't been to him, I've read many of his articles over the years and he always impressed me.

Fall 2014 Bar 10 ride report....
Oracle replied to Oracle's topic in 4 Days & Longer Trip Write-Ups and Photos
Aw, so I wasn't the only one to get a flat. I don't feel so lonely now. Thanks for sharing the pics Chris, great times for sure. I'm hoping to go back next Fall. LB -
When you pulled up at Mesquite with this bike on the trailer, I about wet myself. I'm totally in love with it so you better not turn your back...

Well, I don't know the right way to do it, but one of the easiest way is to use a screen print function, or snipping tool in windows, and then save that to a word document. Now when you print the word doc, it will show everything you captured in your screen print...

Mesquite Holigans
Oracle replied to Bagstr's topic in Upcoming Organized or Promoted Rides and Events
You weren't kidding about bringing a raft...it would have allowed us to ferry the bikes across the "creek" and would have saved us a 50 mile detour... The Oracle and Vanjoosten standing by.... -
Already done with this, but thanks for thinking of me...

I purchase a used Garmin 78 that will be used on my 950 Adventure and 530 Exc. Both bikes will be hard wired for the GPS. During my research, I've found two option for the hard wire. One utilizes the mini USB connector and the other uses the round 4 pin connector....so, which connector is recommended by the people in the know???

Step into an "Adventure Bike" for $2800... http://www.advpulse.com/adv-bikes/chinese-built-250cc-adventure-bike-coming-to-the-us/ Regardless of price, this is not my cup of tea. But I wonder if there will be a market for it here. I guess we'll find out.

Maybe do that Arizona Banck Country Discovery route? http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/ Run it north to south and get the higher elevations out of the way first.
