    An (un)holy union

It looks like on the 525 they are just slightly recessed in the bottom of the fork, not a whole lot of space but a cover that went over the bottom of the fork would be good enough for protecting it

  6. @padu How many more parts do you have yet to put up?

    Looking for riding buddies.

^^ What he said they are as very active group in the Temecula area. Its an easy hour ride for me to get to the start of their rides on Wed from where I like, but your closer so might be better arrangements for your situation. Keep an eye on our meetings forum we have the occasional tech day in North County SD

    An (un)holy union

I have been looking at mine and am thinking about fabbing something up, it doesn't have to be bullet proof just enough to have something between rock and hard place. Good project for someone with a handheld scanner and 3d printer. I will have to make mine out of AL, well just because

Also they used to be some protectors for the bottom of the forks if you can find them worth it to protect the gobblers

are you using mineral oil for the clutch or does it take brake fluid. It the oil replace it with 1.5 weight fork oil. Stands up to the heat WAY better than the mineral oil. If brake fluid just flush it annually.

@Dan Diego had the exact same problem. I told him go to any good boot cobbler, they have the tools and sauce that you put on the leather to stretch it in specific areas. ANY place that can resole boots should be able to do it for you. Otherwise you get yourself a boot tree and build up that specific area, spray the zone on the inside with the stuff (need to google it) and stretch it out yourself but it might not be a permanent because i think heat is used to affix the leather once it has been stretched This is the one I know of in my area
  13. Day 1: https://www.relive.cc/view/vKv2Y9okmoq Day 2: https://www.relive.cc/view/vrqDYwnL3wv No drama Hot Friends 990 had the wires break which killed the bike, happened in a parking lot instead on while riding so was lucky there, easy fix just took time. Lake has never been so full, still lots of water coming down off the mountain.
  14. How far north you make it today
  15. You're dumb 🤣 Big difference in altitude when camping between Kernville and Kennedy Meadows LOL

    Semi Stripped frame hole

They both do the job, I prefer the timecert if it is something that is soft (AL) or thin walled. Again personal preference.

    Semi Stripped frame hole

That is an ideal repair for a timcert better than a helicoil

  19. There is another group that does a ride every Wed and the post is always Wed Night Ride (with that date in the title) That would be the best way to manage this. just my .02
  20. yeah but the real question, is your ass up to it (again)
  21. So you did the ride. @Pokey151 NOW WHAT ARE THE ROAD CONDITIONS DAMMIT!! 😁
  22. Couldn’t get out early enough report on road conditions
  23. Location: 925 Chardonney Way Escondido,Ca 92029 Beware of dogs, they will be removed from the property before the gates open but DO NOT ENTER if you show up early for some reason and the gates are NOT OPEN. Ring the door bell. I am thinking maybe the Saturday July 15th. Since the website recently had to get all the stuff renewed that is a good chunk of change out of Randy's pocket. So would like to have people donate for what ever work is done on their bikes to the website (standard protocol for the work I do) There are 4 dealers close by (all the major brands including BMW) and the cycle gear is here too. Same rules as in the past, full workshop with all the tools (Mill, Lathe, Tig Welder) etc. will be made available, this is the time to get advice if needed on set up, we can do suspension sag etc. Ability to repair AL skid plates if needed is also an option, I am talking cracks, not building you one from scratch. If you use the tire changer plan to take your old tire away with you. Oil can be disposed of here. Based on headcount we will determine if there is enough interest to have the grill up and running. This is a good occasion for the new people to come out and meet old members (they like to hang out on these things <snerk> ) and put names to faces. @TwoDollarBill @Mike_and_his_tdubs @Caleb_Linden @OldDR350 @tntmo @Goofy Footer @tubebender @ECDave @padu @Oracle @racingrob @failedmusician @SirLancelot @KLanceR @simicrintz @shutterrev @Rjg967 @Motocrasher @alyeska @kkug @numpty
