I wanted to drop by to say Hi, SDAR was recommended to me by a friend here.
I guess I should share a little of my motorcycling background. I may be a little more diverse than some riders as I love all motorcycles and ATV's. I am NOT about what you ride...only that you ride. I know this can be a sore subject with the single track and two track crowd, but I believe that off road motorcyclist's and ATV riders can coexist in riding areas and need to learn to do so in a responsible manner without the "in fighting" which doesn't do off road recreation any good at all. From my experience back East the most fun and memorable rides where when everyone was riding a different type of machine...Bikes, ATC's, and Quads.
My first bike was a 1980 Yamaha XT 500G. I then moved up to a 1983 Honda XL 600R. From there it got a little more diverse, over the years I had a 1984 ATC 200X ~ 1983 ATC 250R ~ 1986 ATC 250R ~ 1987 XR 250R ~ 1986 CR 250R ~ 1999 TRX 400EX ~ and in 2004 I purchased a CRF 150F that has been converted to a 230. For fun I bought a 1987 TR 200 Fat Cat which was used as a pit bike for years when I went camping at Budds Creek for the Motocross Pro Nationals, I also have a 2000 Harley Davidson FXDWG (Dyna Wide Glide). I started on Dual Sports ...Enduros back in the day, and 30 years later I'm back on one, Although my off road days are over I still like to see and hear about others off road adventures. Supermoto was a form of motorcycling I had never done and had no experience with, so in the spirit of diversity I converted my 2004 DR 650 with a Supermoto setup. I knew from my previous experience that Dual Sports were fun and nimble bikes on the street and the Supermoto conversion just enhanced those qualities...big time. Nothing like a sleeper sport bike that eats the twisties and is cheap to insure.
