    Showed up today!

Been riding all over Arizona for the last 2 weeks and got home to find this in the mail today! took it out for a spin and didn't even know it was there even during hard braking, and if my bike was capable of 100mph I bet it would have tracked fine! once again, if my bike was capable of those kind of speeds, it weighs in at 30 lbs empty which is amazing for how well its built. Oh yeah, the wildlife in oatman loved my purple clown.

its a manx but the body has no value since it has been heavily chopped for a long travel tube chassis, it may as well be a knockoff, it is very thick construction and that's the only advantage over a knock off. This car is extremely fast and have had it near 100mph on the I-40 near kingman az

    Mojave trail anyone?

Don't know where this is may have been on it and didn't know it, anyway we will be camped back in parker for another week if your nearby.
  12. American legion has a huge property if your a veteran, or park at the mall, parking at the mall with a trailer could be risky if your not close by to monitor parking control. I would park off the circle near the bargain barn.
  13. Im trying to soften up the new ktm so Im thinking a moab trip is in order. I will be taking a toyhauler capable of hauling 6 bikes (with truck bed) and I only have 2 of us going so we have room for 4 more bikes. I am open to dates in March whatever works best for the group since I don't have anything planned for march, I have a friend in moab who owns a long standing motorcycle business so we will have some support for repairs etc if needed. trails will be onion creek, white rim, and a few others, would like to leave on a Friday morning and return home on a Monday so my buddy only misses 2 days of work. I will have lodging for up to 6 persons (buy your own evening booze) in the toybox which will keep expenses pretty low, just take care of yourself or we can do group meals and split it. If interested shoot me a pm with your dates and we will try to make it happen, All riding will be exploring and we are not going to set the trail on fire, bikes must be plated with insurance and some park fees may be required but the ride is free to moab.
  14. I will be spending a good chunk of may in moab if you head back.
  15. try onion creek, Gemini bridges, metal masher.

    bradshaw trail/mojave road conditions

I sold my place in parker last year but I use to ride there via the bradshaw at least 30 times. the beginning has rocks and very soft sand but after that your ok. done it on a klr, super ten, dl 1000 think youll be ok
  17. We were going to head back to san felipe this weekend but decided to ride some open desert parker area, we will be camped at pirates den on the river with toybox and bikes, stop by if your that way, we ride out at 0900 every morning, plan on being there for 7 to 10 days from this Friday.

    Anyone use one of these?

After returning several racks that do not fit properly on the rear of my 18 ktm 690r I decided to go this way, I ordered this from kip moto for around $1k, it does not include the container since I decided to fabricate an aluminum locking box. The back of this bike is very weak (plastic) so adding lightweight panniers for travelling would even be a lot for this design, after reviewing the videos and obtaining other information I decided to take the plunge, I know it will need plated in calif and I will have to add small lights I am sure. It weighs 30lbs empty and seems to track well even offrooad (videos) the connection to rear axle is almost instant.

    Anyone use one of these?

I will be locking it to bike, as far as carrying it all on my back, do you think you could carry a tent, thermarest, cooking gear, clothes 2 pairs of shoes and dry food to camp for 2 to 3 months, I will admit that when Im day riding I carry everything on a tailpack and tankbag but that's a day ride, and I don't have other riders to support me in Alaska, nova scotia, new foundland or all parts of Canada since I ride alone and camp alone. Good point though.
